When I grow up, I want to be an Alicorn

Pushing though when you dont feel like it is a great way to progress. But also if you are not loving the movement maybe its time to switch it up. There are lots of other effective ways to work them quads.

For sure, gotta love the plethora of crazy ways to torture quads! Split squats come to mind…

only if your mind is demented like mine

I mean… I do have a second job of strapping myself into 50+ year-old tin cans that go into the sky, with someone at the controls trying to kill me. And I think it’s FUN.

Once again, went in exhausted and with my head elsewhere. I kept trying to cut thing short and hubby pushed me through. Normally, I am the one that is high drive.
Swapped chest flys for dips, shoulders weren’t feeling dips. Weigh moved pretty good considering.
Struggling with motivation mentally. It’s been a long month. Flew about 45 hours this month. That is a record. It’s fun and I love it, but it is takes a surprising amount of energy.

Back to lifting, snapped a couple photos, pump, flex and terrible lighting all included.

Jacked AND lean!

I appreciate the lean comment! I totally forgot that I was supposed to get back on a cut this week, so it’s good to hear that a month of maintenance has me looking lean still.

It’s the new gym! Pretty sure you get jacked by osmosis there.

I like this comment because I feel like a good gym or good training environment is very productive. But I want to also say, that it’s not the gym it is 100% you.

Whoa there, flygirl! I’m not saying ā€œlean stillā€ as in ā€œhow nice you didn’t blow up last month,ā€ I’m saying I think you look lean relative to last time you posted a pic. So leanER. It’s hard to tell because we don’t have the abs to compare, but I think you’re less fluffy. Looking lean.

I think you may be in the running for most transformed.

So proud of you!

Pretty awesome day. Tried the vertical leg press instead of the pendulum squat. I like that machine a ton. Supports my back, but still gives you the stress of holding the weight, It’s neat. Burns the squats too. Feel it way more there than in a regular leg press.
Hammies are finally starting to go up in reps and weight. Those little guys have been sleeping.
The accessories on this day are just a ā€œhow fast can I get doneā€ kind of work. I feel it, but it’s like taking medicine.

Non-lifting update:
Today was my last day at my current job. I start a new day job on Monday. I get to try a new industry and the amount of work the new company has coming their way is insane. The company I was working for was good to work for but had lost a lot of money on jobs and didn’t have much new work coming in. A scary place for them to be. Layoffs had started in the field and I couldn’t help but wonder when the office would start to suffer.
Anyway, I’m not flying airplanes full-time just yet, but I’ll get there. In the meantime, this new place sounds exciting and I look forward to a change of industry. I think more than anything, I was done with the mechanical and plumbing side of construction.

147.4, down 1.8lbs

I realize I didn’t post a weight last week. It was also that time of the month, so this drop isn’t a surprise. I actually ate almost all my calories last week! Appetite is still low most days.

First day at the new job went well. I had a warm welcome. So far, it’s looking like it will be a good fit.
Schedule is a bit shot this week, I have three after day job flights/ground with students. Plus learning the new job.

Lifting/nutrition plan - With the new day job and students wanting to fly more, I am cutting lifting down to 2 days a week. Hitting 3 has left me feeling beat up and exhausted, not something I care to be in an airplane. I’ll go back to three, but it probably won’t be until after summer.
With the reduction in lifting volume, hopping back on a cut seems like a good move. I was going to in May anyway, to finish the T-ransformation strong.
My busy schedule and lackluster appetite is perfect for reps of pushing away from the table. May as well lean into it!
