Wednesday 3/27
3 mile walk w/ 10lb pack

So I have family staying with me this week. I got home from work and got to the door and remembered said family has my house keys, so I was locked out for an hour until my hubby got home. Since Wednesday is usually extra movement day, I threw on my backpack with my laptop and work stuff in it and went for a stroll.

Felt tired going in, but this all went better than expected. Flat bench felt heavy every set, but I added reps from last week. Time to bump the weight up.
Press was another surprising one, hit all the target reps there, even with the weight increase.
There is a strong possibility the scale is reflecting added muscle. Sure, we’ll go with that.

VERY strong. I was looking at same-weight body recomposition pics this morning, and it’s pretty cool what people do without losing weight.

Tuesday 4/2 Weigh in

148.8, -1.8
Woo! That makes for a total drop of 10.8lbs in 13 weeks. Not as much as I would like, but that almost matches the lowest weight I have seen since I started tracking.
There were a few lower adherence weeks. This drop was even after a high-calorie day going out for my dad’s birthday. (Empanadas for lunch, Chinese food for dinner, then we shared 6 cookies between 5 people).

I am glad I cut another week, I’d like to maintain at 150, this is a much better starting point.

The photo on the left is from 3 weeks ago. The photo on the right, 2 days ago. Not a ton of change, but I see some obliques starting to come through.

Plans going forward: I’ve mentioned this talking to other members, but I am in a mood to ramble. I’ll be practicing maintenance/taking a diet break for the next 4 weeks. I’m not so good at maintaining, but I am going to change that. After that, I anticipate another 10-12 week cut. I have made awesome progress and it’s addicting to see these changes in the mirror. I have more fluff to lose, especially on my legs and hips. What the scale says isn’t everything, but if I had to guess, the look I am going for will be around 135-140 lbs.

This week has been a bit underwhelming. I caught some nasty that has been going around the office. Head and body aches, sore throat and just standing up to walk around my apartment makes my heart rate soar over 100 and my energy plummet. I’ve been holding down my couch yesterday and today, I hope get in the gym later this week, but I’ll see how things go.
