I’m that person who brings her camera whenever possible on a hike. Interesting take on your husband’s phone because I have the Pixel 4a and love it for my needs.
He had the 4 before his last upgrade and liked it more. It was more reliable. Seems they get more buggy with every iteration. He loves the OS though, that is why he has had three of them.

Rep 12 seems to be a bit of a sticking point at 205. I get down in the hole and can’t get back up. I felt quite recovered coming into this too. Maybe next time, I’d like to finish getting the full 20. You can do it little legs!
Writing this Thursday morning. Lower back is tight. But the sorest thing? My rib meat. That has gone from sore over the last couple of weeks to a steady ache. It seems like the combination of breathing squats and pullovers are doing their job.
Are you resting a little longer when you finish rep 10 ? I found this was a natural point for me to take a few more than three breaths and to re set my head.
I take about 6 breaths after rep 10. I’ll try doubling that next time. Thanks for the tip!
Friday
Long, easy run
6 miles, 77 minutes
First couple of miles I was feeling my legs. Even my calves were burning and they are normally pretty bulletproof.
Little life update:
I received a job offer. The interview process started about three weeks ago, but the official offer came yesterday. I was able to talk them into more money, and they gave me an extra week of PTO (3 weeks total). The rest of the benefits are better than my current place as well. Funny thing is, it is technically a step-down. I would be going from a Project Manager to an Assistant Project Manager. However, from the conversations I have had, I would be WAY more hands-on with projects than I am currently. Though, that bar is not high. I would have technicians to work directly with, all local projects and I get to start on two, large apartment complexes. It will be more on-sight time than I have now (which is 0%, all my jobs I information transfer, for now, are out of state) and I think I would do well with that. I do not sit still well. Long story short, I am excited. I don’t know what the schedule will be until I get going (it will vary per project), but training will happen either anyway.
Congratulations! Wishing all the best for you in the new position. Hopefully this step down is ultimately a step up lol.
(I’m now going to go bask in the glow of that turn of phrase for the next half hour)
Ha, love it. It has the potential to be just that! Time will tell.

20 x 205. 4th time is a charm. Super Squats is done. Feel awesome about that!
This isn’t a great comparison because I forgot to weight myself before starting SS.
Weight 7/10: 158.5
Today 10/22: 160
Huh. Could have been why I got stuck at so many points. Apparently still didn’t eat enough. Felt bloated enough. Ha.
But we are done. Off to TX to cheer on Ferrari and eat all the food.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Congratulations. It’s been fantastic to watch you crush this program.
Thank you!
Congratulations on the job it sounds very exciting. And well done on getting through super squats and ending on a high with those 20 reps. Most people are not even prepared to start this program, many people do it but don’t read it properly and don’t do the breathing squats, some start it but just can’t stick it out and finish it and then there are the crazy few who are strong and disciplined enough to make it to the end.
Respect and salute.
That program will harden you the fuck up mentally after running it. Almost nothing you do after running the program will feel as hard as completing all 20 blood curdling reps of breathing squats.
Everyone fears this program because of how difficult it is, but the results outweigh that fear.
Congrats on the new job and completing Super Squats @unicornsandrainbows
I am one of those people that’s too afraid to begin
@unicornsandrainbows I’ve been watching you run this program and I just wanted to say that your tenacity is not only amazing, but it’s infectious. Awesome job completing all six weeks, and you’ve re-kindled a fire made of milk and hope within me.
Congrats!!!
I had this in my head for 2 years before finally stumping up the courage to say I am doing it. You will definitely do it when you are ready. And I will still be here cheering you on.
Hubby called me crazy for doing running this program, and still gave me fist bumps when I re-racked the bar today. Thank you for all the cheers and tips along the way!
Absolutely this. I am so excited for other programs to be easier now. It was a mental battle as well for sure
Thank you for all the kind words! Glad to see the crazy is spreading. I won’t lie, I was anxious for every session after week 2. The fear is understandable, 20 rep squats suuuck. Hope to see you run it.
@anna_5588 Thank you! Your turn? More ladies need to run this program and you would crush it.
Maybe next fall, but conditional on you posting BBQ pics ![]()
Ha I hope to! So far my flight to TX has been delayed 3 hours and counting. Fingers crossed we make it!
Absolutely crushed it: I’m simultaneously proud of you and also had no doubt.
It genuinely shows how hard the EATING can be to support the training.
