When I grow up, I want to be an Alicorn

Good to hear! I neglect recovery for sure, might be time to experiment.

I get a head spin 7/10 times I stand up. I call it my free high.

Do you have a super low pulse too? My BP usually sits around 95/60 and my resting pulse is in the 40’s and drops into the 30’s when I sleep. Scares the crap out of the anesthesiologist if you don’t warn them ahead of time.

I do indeed! Mine sits right where yours does, low 40s with an occasional 30 dip. Even now, standing at my desk at work, it’s chilling at 50bpm.
My dad found this out last year and promptly launched into detective mode and started asking every medical professional he knew if I was okay.
I have to warn every new nurse I see before they take my vitals. Always fun when I go for a physical and the medical assistant sticks the HR/oxygen thing on my finger. The silent stare and subsequent eyebrow raise is hilarious.

Mine sits low 50’s, which is apparently completely weird to see with high BP like I have. Doc was REAL confused. Massive volume per heartbeat maybe? Then again, she told me to lose weight and exercise to get my BP down after seeing that I’m around 13% body fat and after me telling her I average 200+ minutes of high intensity physical activity a week…

Hot baths are the real thing. @Koestrizer swears by them. He likes bubbles and candles where I am a straight up bath salt kinda guy. Get yourself some salts, turn on your favourite music or a podcast and relax in a hot bath for 30 mins. Great for the legs but better for the soul .

Simo is correct. Baths are the medical mystery, missing in all of our routines (see Koestrizer et al.,2026).

The expert way to do this is: Temperature as high as tolerable (and I mean that in - you have to go in super gradually and hype yourself up a little… think first degree burns. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:). Nice scented bath additives that preferably make lots of beautiful bubbles. An array of lit candles as lightning. A good, yet not too stimulating book. A snack is optional but a nice touch. 1-4 fun drinks are mandatory (alcohol is prefered but not necessary) and of course boring water because you are literally cooking yourself and sweating profusely. Timing wise the bath should be between 1 and 2 hours. You can add more warm water but if you start hot enough, it’s good for that time.

Glad to help!

Mate. At my age I am wrinkly enough. 2 hours in a bath and I would look like a mummy. :joy:
