OP, honestly it doesn’t matter if everyone in here gave you a straight answer because there are 1000 ways to skin a cat. Some people are going to advocate DC style training, while others are going to tell you you need more volume to progress, and some will tell you to just do 5/3/1.
If you’re looking for help with your current training, why don’t you post your current routine so hopefully a vet can chime in and help you out.

Do you think one could use this for powerlifting too? Maybe make a Sheiko 360 hybrid or a 5/3/1 360 with bodybuilding assistance lifts?
that’s some advanced shit you’re advocating there
I’ve adapted the 360 routine to fit in with my own goals as I am a ‘functional’ bodybuilder. On the bi-lateral days I do left upper body with right lower body, and vice versa the next session.
I find that this is optimal for putting on mass whilst ensuring that I stay functional. The key is to utilise a couple of whole body movements that mimic the primal movement patterns. So, for example on Mondays I do right leg one legged squats with a left rotation during the descent, whilst pressing a kettlebell overhead with my left arm.
Because I am training the body how it was designed to be trained and also hitting all muscle groups twice a week, I am honestly experiencing the best growth of my life.
I still can’t believe that HM hasn’t patented this concept. I guess his altruism knows no limits.
Funny thing is some people think HM is kidding about the 360 thingy… lol

I’m pretty sure “some people” includes HM based on some posts in here lol

i joke around a lot of the time, b/c look at the majority of t-nationites. in the 3 years i’ve been here many have still remained at the same strength/weight/body comp than when i first got here.
plus when i first started working out i hadn’t made significant enough gains to back up my ideas.
a workout schedual that hits your muscle groups multiple times a week isn’t anything new (DC, for example).
neither is directly working individual sides to bring up strength/size imbalences.
what’s great about 360 muscle is it’s ability to help newbies correct initial imbalences they have with strength training, as well as allow flexability for lifters with more expereince to tailor their workouts to focus on their ‘problem’ areas

How is that any different than what people have been writing years before you showed up?
I was just over 200lbs when I first logged in. Most of the people here for years have been playing around. The pics in the Indigo forum confirmed that.
But one thing I can tell you is I have seen more lately really make some changes than I have ever seen do it before.
Bigmac alone didn’t used to look like that.
I could see the broad stroke of laughing everything off if that weren’t the case.
If anything, I would say after years of some of us responding, more people listen now.

don’t hold me accountable for what happened here before i showed up. i have no idea what went on here in 2003 when i was a sophomore in highschool and thought lifting weights would stunt my growth.
i’ve been away from here for a bit b/c of being super busy. if lots of ppl are starting to make progress/changes, then i’m super pumped. high five time.
i am excited to hear not only that there is a receptive audience, but they are following the advice.

If my left side isn’t fully recovered in time for the next workout does that mean I should just do the right side again?
Funny thing is that Ellington Darden kinda wrote it in " Bigger Muscless in 42 days". The quadra lateral part felt the strangest.

you could. but with 3 days of rest /week that sounds like you’re not eating enough or getting enough sleep
The one I do now…3 days a week full body.

the “360 muscle” program i’ve been posting a lot in here about
day 1 - all the muscles on the ‘right’ side of the body
day 2 - all the muscles on the ‘left’ side of the body
day 3 - off
day 4 - all the muscles on the ‘front’ of the body
day 5 - all the muscles on the ‘back’ of the body
weekend is off or for cardio if needed
this ensures all muscles are being hit at least 2x directly a week
YOU mean this?
haters gonna hate

I gotcha man. For the record, I’m not asking what people advocate for me to try. I’m not planning on changing my training for a while (a long while). I wanted to hear what programs gave guys their best results (individually). Just for pure curiosity. I’m loving the thread.
Cheers,
