What's YOUR Best Shake?

1.25 cup of chocolate milk
2 scoop ON double rich chocolate whey
2 tbsp cocoa powder
.75 cup cottage cheese
100 g frozen banana
1 pack truvia
creatine

yum

I think you guys would enjoy these “shakes” much more if you didn’t make shakes lol. In other words…Instead of adding dry oats to a shake…I add protein powder to cooked oats…Instead of adding yogurt to a shake and blending, I dump protein powder in yogurt and mix. You then have a flavored porridge to EAT or a pudding like yogurt substance to EAT.

…Isn’t it a lot more satiating to actually eat than to drink? For me it is…

I also very rarely do whey shakes; instead, I add it to food.

Here’s something that you will find disgusting but that is in fact delicious:

take a can of mackerel (400 cals), put two slices of fat free cheese on top (60cals 12g protein), microwave for one minute, stir, then add two scoops of vanilla whey.

nommmmmmmmmmm

lol a Martin Berkham disciple eh…

I think the point of these shakes are adding easy kcals when eating them is either inconvenient or just plain tedious. When dieting i completely agree with you but if i´m trying to eat 4k kcals a day and my appetite just doesnt cut it, shakes are the only way.

personal fav - 2 scoops choc whey, 150 gr cottage cheese, 100 gr low fat yogurt, 2 tbls natty peanut butter, 1 cup oats, handful mixed berries and 1 banana.

75gr protein, 120 carbs, 50gr fat. 1000 kcals roughly, tastes pretty damn good too.

LOL. This cannot be good and I know this is one of those “watch im believe me and try it” type deals.

But, seriously…you cannot be serious?

I wish my appetite didn’t cut it, lol. I think I can eat 5000-6000 calories of solid food daily if needed…and I could do it on 90% “clean” bodybuilding foods.

Here’s what I typically do:

  • 1/2 scoop Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass
  • 16 oz. 1 or 2% milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup ground oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

975 calories, 45g protein, 250g carbs, 24g fat

Figured this is a nice thread to bump. I got a new treat:

2 scoops vanilla whey
1 tbsp instant coffee
ice
water

Blend for a bodybuilders frappacino! [/quote]

My buddy and I have this almost every morning on the way out the door to work. We call it the nitro shake (from the amounts of coffee we put in).

we make it half coffee, half almond milk, 2 scoops of protein (vanilla or chocolate). Gotta try grinding some oats in next!

Man, adding whey to my oats is like eating cement for me. It takes me hours to get that shit in without gagging.

Haha, fuck man I love that shit…I can eat like 2 1/2 cups dry measure oats in one sitting…Actually, probably more…but, I haven’t yet.

facko, I’m with the others… I don’t really drink shakes for satiety or anything, I just do it for convenience and a quick meal when I’m heading out or something. Anyways, for some reason, blending chocolate Metabolic Drive with some Greek yogurt tastes way better than pouring chocolate Metabolic Drive on some yogurt and eating it… its’ weird, lol.

No dude, you’re the lucky one. I’m a carb fiend…I want to fill my swimming pool with Cap’n Crunch and swim in that shit for days on end.

But here’s a health shake I use:

2 Scoop vanilla casein. (could use whey, or a blend etc)
8 Ounces nonfat greek yogurt
A decent amount of cinnamon
1 Banana
1 Tablespoon peanut butter
1 Cup Crunch Berries
1 Cup Oats
Water Or Milk Or Almond Milk etc
Ice

That’s around 1000kcal with water from my calculations…

1 cup whole milk
1 whole ripe avocado (chilled beforehand)
2 scoops chocolate whey
2 Tbsp Godiva sweet cocoa powder

Mix well in blender. It thickens up like pudding and tastes like it.

Jesus! That would fill me up for half the day!

I’ve been rushing around early mornings the past few days so I just started making this as a breakfast substitute.

about 1-1.5 cups milk
scoop and a half protein powder
generous handful of oats
small scoop of choc ice cream for flavor
spoonful of pb
and after its all blended I drop in 3 raw eggs

My blender works really well at grinding up about 80% of the oats and the rest just kind of settle on the bottom for a nice mouthful to chew down after I chug it.
Once I can get some time to make it to the store I’ll be grabbing some bananas for it too

THE HULK SHAKE!

RECIPE
1 CUP UNSWEETENED ALMOND MILK
1 CUP COLD WATER
1 BANANA (frozen is best)
2 SCOOPS OF YOUR FAVORITE PROTEIN POWDER
5 GRAMS CREATINE MONOHYDRATE (optional)
1 TBSP GROUND FLAX SEEDS
6 ICE CUBES
“HUGE” HANDFUL OF ORGANIC FRESH LEAF SPINACH

HOW TO MAKE IT
Add everything into the blender in the order of the ingredients listed above and blend on high until fully mixed.
If any protein powder gets stuck to the edges of the blender, use a spoon and scrape it loose, then blend again for a few seconds.

It’s awesome!

simple… really good chocolate mousse

3-4 oz. whipping cream with 25 grams chocolate whey - we use a magic bullet but I’m sure a blender will do

super low carb, don’t be afraid of the fat, the mrs does it everyday & she is under 10% bf
