Please Contribute Your Protein Shake Recipes....

I’ve found the joys and bodybuilding benefits of protein shakes, and would like to try different variations or recipes of protein shakes.

If you could be so kind as to post your favorite or recipe, as well as the preperation involved, and the amount per indgredient used.

I’ll start with mine:

Chocolate Banana Shake

~3 scoops of chocolate protein powder
~1 frozen banana
~18 liquid ounces of cold water

Place all three into blender, blend…enjoy

Also, on occasionI add a 1/2 table spoon of peanut butter

I’m currently cutting, so calories and fat need to be kept low.

The shake above has about 70 grams of whey isolate protein, potossium, fiber and taste damn great.

This is going to be my breakfast for the next couple days.

1.5c frozen berries
2 scoops Grow! Whey
1 scoop Superfood
Handfull of walnuts
1 rounded tbsp natural PB
1c yogurt
Enough water to make it liquid-y, usually 12ish fl oz. does the trick.

I’m not sure what the calorie count is, but it’s enough to hold me over for a few hours.

This week’s AM shake has been

4oz reduced fat lactose free milk
2-3oz water
2 heaping table spoons of cultured cottage cheese
2 scoops Grow!
2 scoops Superfood
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
milled flax seed

blend until smooth and creamy. I pour this in a water bottle, stick it in a cooler and pull it out at work around 10:30-11:00 am.

Damn…thats a almost a whole meal…are you in bulk stage? Def clean bulk, but the cottage cheese seems kind of funky.
Do the blueberries have a lot of those little seeds?

this isnt entirely mine, I got the idea from that take a picture of your food thread, but here it is.

-1-2 tblspns. ground flax seed
-1/3 cup cottage cheese
-1/2 hass avacado (pretty ripe)
-1 scoop vanilla Low-carb Metabolic Drive
-1 packet of stevia, or splenda (or sugar if you dont give a shit about sugar intake).

Blend on low with just enough water to get it to goup together. Then add 1-2 ice cubes at a time, adding more water if neccasary, until it is at the consistency you desire. The longer you blend it, the more airy it will become.

Heres my favorite shake in the world:
16 oz cold water
5-6 ice cubes
2 scoops Low Carb Metabolic Drive (chocolate)
~Blend it up, enjoy.
Im a simple man. lol. I usually have this before bed with 10grams of fish oil.

im going to bookmark this thread. ive been needing some good ideas…

as for me, my shake is

2 cups cold water
2-3 scoops chocolate whey protein
.5-1 cup oats (dry)
1 whole banana
1 big scoop of natty PB
2-3 handfulls of baby spinach

believe it or not, the banana, pb, and chocolate are the only flavors you taste. next, i want to try the apple/broccoli shake i read about.

I’ve just been using vanilla or banana flavored protein and a cup of frozen blueberries. They don’t have seeds, and they chill up the drink nicely! Delicious!

a scoop of Grow! Whey
1 cup of oats
2 tablespoons of flax
skim milk

good stuff…

scoop of Grow! Whey
natty peanut butter
skim milk

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…

scoop of Grow! Whey
cup of broccoli
flax seeds
skim milk

actually, it is not bad…

Fruit and Tuna Shake

I eat this pretty often in the morning.

I large can of tuna, drained 55g protein
1.5 cup cranberry juice
1 banana
1 spoonful pumpkin
few pieces frozen pineapple
few pieces frozen mango
few pieces frozen blueberries
few pieces frozen strawberries
few pieces frozen peaches
few pieces frozen berry medley

Consume. It makes a bigass shake, not for those with small stomachs.

Wow, tuna in a shake? A little out there, but to each his own.

That pumpin, is that just pie filling, it sounds delicious ina shake, def will pick some of that up.

If you’re trying to lean out a bit, try to get the pumpkin and not pre-made pumpkin pie mix. The label will be different and there will be more sugar in the pie mix. The regular pumpkin still tastes awesome in shakes.

Regular pumpkin puree adds an amazing level of smoothness to a shake.

It has to be the same as adding xantham gum. Thick and smooth.

Skim Milk
Whey Protein
Bananna
Peanut Butter
Egg

Not sure about how much each I dont measure just eyeball it except only one egg. For the protein either unflavored or chocolate.

I use this for a “weight gainer”.

My shake varies here or there depending on what is still in the house but…

10oz. water
1/2 avocado
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
2 omega three eggs
40 grams whey
1 tbsp. greens by solgar
4 ice cubes

Throw back in freezer for a half hour and then enjoy
