I’ve been wondering this for a few days now. It seems like nobody here likes Dream. I see threads about every UFC bout, interview etc. Talk over Affliction and other organizations but I can’t recall seeing one about Dream.
I guess I noticed as Dream 5 is in a few days but no threads about it. Is it the fighters? The rules? The schedule??
This isn’t a shot against anyone, I’m just curious as to the lack of interest.
I’m looking forward to watching Hellboy fight. He’s a pimp and very underrated outside those in the know.
Dream provides some exciting fights, but they’ve had a little difficulty out of the gate, due to injuries, DQ’s and other various reasons for fighters dropping out of the cards. Not to mention that I don’t know anyone around me with HD Net, or in other words the access to watch the fight live.
I got HD Net, you just bring the pizza and beer.

Seriously, this is fight of the year, and maybe one of the best rounds in MMA ever.
I might just break down and buy a HD set and upgrade my DirecTV just so I can get HDNET. Watching Inside MMA on the internet is BS. And missing out on all the Dream shows ain’t cool.
Alvarez-Kawajiri was a great fight.
Alvarez just comes out trying to destroy his opponent, all his fights in Dream have been entertaining.
I have hard time liking Aoki. They are trying to sell him but I always get the feeling he is gonna quit. He doesn’t strike me as having that never quit attitude.
Overeem looks better at HW than he did at LHW. He is a big guy 6’5" 240. I have always liked Overeem and thought he had alot of talent but he never did really well at LHW. I think he would be a solid fight now for Crocop if Crocop can ever get healthy.
The fans should give Akiyama a break already. He apologised, time to move on.
Lol at Andy Ologun being all angry at Nakamura because Nakamura had the gall to try to sub him in a mma fight.

I have a hard time liking someone who basically taps out when he gets punched in the face, and then cries for 10 minutes at the end of every event.
He is an amazing grappler though, and I’m surprised that someone so one purely one dimensional can do as well as he does in today’s game. I still wanted to see Kawajiri crush him, but Hansen will do.
SO I finally got the chance to watch the card, and you guys are right, it was really a great show.
And yes, Kawajiri vs. Alvarez was an excellent fight.
I’m dissapointed in seeing Aoki lose, but he was beat by a guy I really respect.
Alvarez will be lightweight champ when he gets that rematch with Hansen…
Alverez should be ranked 2 or 3 in his division. he’s that damn good. I’m sure he would have destroyed Aoki
I think DREAM is a great org. I loved Pride and like DREAM for all the same reasons. The only thing I don’t like is the custom of putting a guy who is 1-0, 2-1, 1-3 against a guy who has like 20 victories. Other than that…it’s cool. I enjoy watching the different style that many fighters use compared to the UFC.

ain’t that the truth. MMA fighters have the best and worst fans, hands down of any sport. From the fair weather guys like the one quoted above, to the idiots wearing tight shirts and thinking they can fight because they’ve watched a couple of UFCs. On the other hand, fighters are getting a lot of solid pussy these days.

One of my favorite fighters. The fight with Alverez was epic. One of the best fights I’ve seem.
I really like Dream. I think they put on great shows with really good fighters. There light weights in this tourney could hang with anyone. Other divisions are deep as well. Dream 5 should be on the DVR when I get home. Can’t wait. Really the only show worth watching on HDNET.

I don’t know what been wrong with him the last year but I think he be back to dominating soon. I would like to see him against arlovski in affliction.

Yeah it was aoki vs uno and alvarez vs kawajiri… dont worry you will be thinking that alvarez vs kawajiri was better fight then hansen vs alvarez im telling you go watch the fights… very entertaining
