So I got moved into a new place and I went out and got the basics. Cottage cheese, eggs, oatmeal, blueberries, fish oil, salad, skim milk, and whey protein. I was basically able to eat like this where I lived last because there wasn’t any fast food.

Now I live in the city though, and after a week of living off of that I cracked and dropped 20 at whitecastle. So I think I need to expand my grocery list. So what does everyone else have on thier list.

Heres what I have so far. I’m trying to avoid carbs from grains, cause I’m still trying to drop a little weight.
Chicken
Tuna
Cottage cheese
Salad
Avocados
Beef
Fish filets (I have no idea what kind of fish to buy. I’m used to cookin whatever my buddies catch)
Ham
Nuts
Blueberries

I think natural peanut butter should be in your tool box… I like the no salt version.

you guys may want accessible venison…

I would love to be anywhere near a market that has buffalo or ground bison. Buffalo burgers taste amazing. The only kind ive seen available to me is like 10$ a pound online and they ship it dry ice.

But buffalo (bison) would definitely be nice.

I would rather get a buffalo and butcher it. Or shoot a deer and process it. I hate paying a load of money for something that I can do myself. What sucks is that unless I can find some way of doing that here in the city, I’ll have to.

Chicken
Tuna
Beef
Eggs
Cheese
Natural PB
Oatmeal
Veggies
Almonds
Greens for salad

Nice. I grew up on the southside of OKC.

Tilapia (in my opinion one of the more cost effective, easy to cook fish out there)
Sweet Potatoes
Walnuts
Turkey Burger
Turkey Bacon
Buckwheat Pancakes
Oatmeal
Eggs
Various pieces of fruit.
Greens for salad (i don’t consistently eat greens, the only times I do eat them is when I am trying to lean out or beginning to have cravings and need something to fill me up to curb the cravings.)

I guess I’m just lucky; my local grocer has a butchers section with deer, buffalo, and all kinds of other meats. Most are frozen but all organic. haha I do hunt and kill my own though in season

haha. I hunt and kill my own whenever.

or at least i did. I doubt that campus security would be amused if they caught me trapping the squirrels. Thats about all there is around here that would be good to eat. I might have to learn to fish.

I should take up hunting. Are there any places to get exotic meat? It’d be sweet to have a fridge with buffalo, kangaroo, ostrich, rabbit, venison, veal, etc. etc.

Haven’t ventured much that way. This city is so large, geographically. It’s so spread out, there are entire areas I’ve never even been to.

Bro, you’re lifts are insane!!!

420 clean from hang!!
525 bench…Raw!

You are a crazy strong. I need to add to my grocery list whatever the hell you’ve been eating.

Oh you slut. I’d love to have access to affordale, quality venison.

Bushy

I’ll echo that. I bagged a huge doe on one of our wheat fields this winter. It was the best venison ever. It was a lung shot and I bled it while the doe was still alive… Alass I doubt that I’ll be able to hunt in N Chicago. Does anybody know what the deer season is like up here?Rifle? Bow? Black powder? I need to look that up if I’m gonna even try for a deer this year.[/quote]

Just go up to Wisco for some deer hunting. Rifle season is the week of Thanksgiving (starts the friday or sat before). Not sure when bow season is, but you should be able to get a few tags easily in the CWD areas.

was man. was. I was weighing about 295-310 when I got those lifts. I can bench around 450 and squat around 5 right now. I have just been focusing on losing weight. I’ve lost about 50 pounds from when I was my heaviest, but I wasn’t making very good progress this summer. Now I’m back at it real hard again and I’m hoping to lose about 20 more pounds before I focus on strength. Are you familiar with NWOSU?

Hold up!
CWD as in chronic wasting disease areas?? Please tell me you mean something else. I know the risk is infintisimal, but that CJD is pretty nasty.

Trader Joe’s has it in their frozen section. I buy a package (4 burgers) a week. $5.69 for 20 oz.

Trader Joe’s has a great selection of quality food (organic, free range, minimally processed, etc.) - at reasonable prices. I do 90% of my shopping there and I’m usually in and out in 20 minutes. Here’s their website: www.traderjoes.com

Thats a cool lookin place, and there’s one 12 miles from me. Thanks. I appreciate it.

If you can get it buy Kangaroo meat. Higher in protein & iron than steak, chicken and fish. About 2 grams of fat per 100g. You can get steaks, sausage and minced.

canned pumpkin
