Whats On Your Grocery List?

So I got moved into a new place and I went out and got the basics. Cottage cheese, eggs, oatmeal, blueberries, fish oil, salad, skim milk, and whey protein. I was basically able to eat like this where I lived last because there wasn’t any fast food.

Now I live in the city though, and after a week of living off of that I cracked and dropped 20 at whitecastle. So I think I need to expand my grocery list. So what does everyone else have on thier list.

Heres what I have so far. I’m trying to avoid carbs from grains, cause I’m still trying to drop a little weight.
Chicken
Tuna
Cottage cheese
Salad
Avocados
Beef
Fish filets (I have no idea what kind of fish to buy. I’m used to cookin whatever my buddies catch)
Ham
Nuts
Blueberries

Spinach, Brocolli.

green tea, turkey, navy beans (high fiber and protein)

My grocery list for the week usually looks like this:

Beef
Chicken Breast
Frozen vegetables and berries
Skim Milk
Almonds/Walnuts
Cheese (not the low fat junk)
yogurt

And really, that’s about it. I like to keep things simple so I can prepare food quickly and without much thought.

Oh, I’d ditch the ham. Cured/processed meats aren’t exactly the healthiest thing in the world.

fish - salmon, makeral

olive oil, flax

true, the ham isn’t that good for me. I was just thinkin it might make the scrambled eggs better.

I hear ya. You can always try candian bacon (still processed, but a little better than ham), or sprinkle in some cheese.

Lo-Carb Edible Undergarments.

If you’re in Chicago, just go to the nearest Whole Foods Market and go crazy in the meat department, then make a stop at the frozen veggies.

Deer meat
Grass fed beef
Tuna
1/2 and 1/2
Oatmeal
Smart Balance PB
Veggies
Any type of white fish, I mix it up
Shrimp
V8
Sweet Potatoes

I’m so burnt out on eggs and chicken that I have just been skipping them. Breakfast is now oatmeal with 1/2 and 1/2 and Metabolic Complete with PB in it.

Huh??

It’s not like he’s eating Oscer Meyer bolgna or spam.

It’s ham, and it’s a much better alternative to White Castle. Every once in a while you may even want to indulge in some salami or pastrami. Yeah, you shouldn’t live off it, but we’re talking here about grocery items that can spice up life and deter us from going to White Castle (or fast food in general).

Ham? For christs sakes. It’s ham.

Some things to add to the list:

Dark red kidney beans
Chickpeas (Gorgonzo beans)
Navy beans
Black beans

Jalapenos (great for spicing up a dish. Just melt cheese on top of chicken or beef and add some spice).

Cheeses of all varieties:
Smoked gouda
bleu cheese
feta

I’ll echo that. I bagged a huge doe on one of our wheat fields this winter. It was the best venison ever. It was a lung shot and I bled it while the doe was still alive… Alass I doubt that I’ll be able to hunt in N Chicago. Does anybody know what the deer season is like up here?Rifle? Bow? Black powder? I need to look that up if I’m gonna even try for a deer this year.
