I am also a nuclear power plant operator… Nuclear, are you in the Navy? Me thinks me smells another nuke… I’m in NY at the prototype.
Banker-Wholesale Account Executive for a major bank here in the US.
Law enforcement Intelligence Analyst
Full time Clinical Athletic Trainer, part time high school Athletic Trainer, teach night classes at a university, and do injury screenings/evaluations at a YMCA. Yeah, I keep pretty busy.
Film music composer and mixer, also writing a screenplay.
Currently? You wouldn’t believe me.
Project Manager/Network Engineer, Farmer, Personal Trainer/Small Business Owner, w/KS Real Estate license.
Obviously, I split my time, but I spend most of my time as a Project Manager.
carpenter, concrete variety

Umm…right now I’m broke, unemployed and about to travel cross country. Anybody want to hire me?
Need to get back on my feet,

Computer programmer at a Utility company. For how long don’t know, they are fixing to layoff 125 people. Degrees in Computer Science and Chemical Engineering.
Holy Molly… I am bummed looking at this thread.
All of you “work,work,work,work”,
Is anyone living life the way they want or even desire?
All I do is teach people how to build business on and off the Internet. With fortune 500 companies.
I have time and money to do what I please.
Let’s put it this way.
If you owned a chunk of land, and someone were to offer you 20 million " OR " you had the option to put toll booths on it for the rest of your life, what would you do ?
Great statistic for all the statistic folk. In 03’ The people that retired at 65 lived to be 67. The ones that retired at 55 lived to be 89.
Do you want to keep working until 65? Or retire now ?
I have worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for a Sports Medicine clinic for the past 5 years. Currently finishing my teaching cert so I can teach and train at a high school and not have to be subcontracted out for service.
Hey T-warrior, any good screenplay will obviously have me as a character, I am funny, clever and not tall, so people can relate to me as a whole person. Plus I was voted best actor in high school… and I drew a picture in elementary school that was displayed in the hallways.
I am full of marketable talents.

Oh yeah, I’d take the 20 mill, and I am trying to not have to work work work, but I need to eat eat eat.
hey bodhisattva,
the ancient eastern understanding of happiness is in doing what you desire and desiring what you do.
Awww Dave, Why would you take the 20 mil ?
Ok Dave I’ll put it this way ,since I think your a cool guy. A pile of money ? or a stream of ongoing money ?
And yes , to live life to the fullest is life. Not stuck in a job that your trapped in a place for hours. Working like a dog for someones dreams.
I say get alot of money and have alot of time to do what ever you want. Just make a decision to change it.
“If nothing changes” nothing will change.
Have a dream.
What about taking the twenty million and putting it in an index fund?
I’m assuming there’s roads going through the land, otherwise those tollbooths would look kinda strange. . .
Why would I ever need more than 20 million dollars? I could do pretty much whatever I wanted to do, for the rest of my life.
Here is the way I would use that money.
3 million goes to my parents.
1 million to my brother, and another for my sister.
I am down to 15 million
I would spend about 2 million buying a small island in the caribbean, put a nice little house on it, buy some goats and chickens and various other animals, let them run around.
Build a hardcore personal gym. Spend most of my days lifting and fishing, with the occasional extreme sporting adventure, skydiving, cliff climbing heli-skiing.
after all that, I may be down to about 10 million, and that would be enough to keep me alive and having as much fun as I can handle for a heck of a long time.
But hey, thats just me, I see your point though Bohdi. I just would rather not have any worries.
Hmmmmmm should I go to the office today, or should I go hang-gliding? Well I guess I really should go to the office, I have some paper work that needs to be done.
My buddy and I had that conversation the other day, many rich people are so greedy that the pursuit of money has taken over their lives, they send their kids to private school, and they become mini-tyrants, ruling their world with a gem encrusted Iron fist.

Chemical Engineer for a large automotive supplier. I have been there almost 9 years.
Bodi,
You left out a third option: never retire.
If you have “retire,” you aint found your calling.
Never retire.
Never, never,never.
(I’ve sat on beaches around the world, but that gets old in about a week and I want to come home and work.)
Currently working part-time for UPS as an Industrial Engineering Load Planner. Also full-time college sophomore.
On top of that, I’m a full-time husband and trying to be a full-time bodybuilder/weightlifter. Aiming for size, strength, and cuts.
I guess I want it all, but there’s nothing wrong with having goals and doing a little hard work. Right???
