They have a reputation for tearing them.
Nothing special, I am deadlifting anyway.
If he says yes, that answer will come from someone whose opinion on training I deeply trust and respect, and like you said, I have no 19’’ arms, and my opinion is basically worthless, so if someone more knowledgeable and accomplished than me says something that is contrary to what I believe, I am open to change my mind.
The problem is that I am not sure about the credentials of the guy I originally replied to, hence why I said that I disagree (which I wouldn’t have done had it been someone else’s post).
Outside of tearing them, not particularly.
But do you have 19 inch arms? ![]()
No no no the question should be…
But do you have torn biceps?
![]()
I find biceps to be volume-dependent much more so than weight. 8-12 weekly sets does it, over one or two sessions. I like two different curls, around 8 reps per set, and short rest breaks. I don’t have any science, so this is basically a ramble
Reverse grip axle with 45ish
Need to consider biceps get secondary stimulation from rowing type movements.
I hit them every 3 days. Even tried hitting them like every workout lol. The only thing (within reason) that I haven’t tried is going heavy
I do lots of bent over barbell rows as well. And seal rows using dumbbells, used to use barbell but like the dumbbells better for seal rows. Usually do cable rows on back and bi day as well.
you looking for bicep size or general arm girth?
Bicep and tricep specifically. Right now I have 8” wrists, 13.75 forearms and alllllllmost 16” biceps. So essentially if I straighten my arm it’s just two straight lines going straight up lol
But you do have pretty big biceps.
He does have some massive arms. His 8ish reps per set tells me heavier weight then what I use though.
Don’t look to me for advice man, I didn’t even have big guns as a teenager.
for over all arm girth …make sure your hitting the triceps hard since the rule of thumb is in most people they will make for 2/3 of the girth.
I’d have to measure them first…
And figure out that program that makes them grown an inch in 5 days.
Stuart McRobert and John McCallum talked about programs that could add 1/4" over like a long weekend or a week, but some dudes are next level.
I don’t really want to wait 5 days. Think I could change up their program a little to make it better and get the same results in 3 days?
This morning, I saw a guy in a chin up hold doing full ROM bicep curls with his body. His arms were literally thicker than my quads… so… I’d recommend that ![]()
If it’s stupid but it works…
