I have a pair, they are amazing. Except I have the short ones which don’t work out well for Meadows rows… need a different set of straps for that.

If you’re looking for longer, the ones from EFS seem to be longer than average. The pair I have is anyway.
I just pulled 600lbs with these, and know they will be good for more. Cheap straps tend to be too short to get a decent set-up (all you do is just wrap them around the bar until you run out of space, versus actually criss/crossing the strap) and will actually stretch under heavy weight. These are long and will not compromise/break under heavy loads.

I picked up some of the Spud Inc straps, they are yellow and you can find them at elitefts. They are pretty long and are way softer than the cheap ones. They don’t cost very much and I think they’re pretty awesome for DL and rack pulls. For rowing I really like the orange elitefts old school straps. They are great for a thumb less grip.
I used to care about what people thought about using straps but I find that I feel my back more with them. If I go without, when I squeeze with a thumb wrapped around grip the tension goes straight up my forearm and my biceps seem to take over with less back recruitment.
Something else to try is the hook grip for DLs, hurts at first but I found that it is pretty strong once you get used to it.
Did you get the 1.5 inch or 2 inch wide ones?

And to the guy asking about my avatar. Yes.
I think I know the ones you are talking about. Medium length cloth, blue straps… I’m missed one of them but I only need one for Meadows rows lol

I love me some Meadow/one arm barbell rows.

Andy: lol. Sounds about right. Mine are actually red but they’re old and colors tend to vary on that stuff. I can probably wrap them around the collar end of a BB 3x. Definitely good for Meadows rows.
Joab: x2. I’ve been slightly obsessed with them lately. Great exercise.
In my opinion, EVERYBODY has the ability to never use straps if they really make an effort. Most people start using them early on and never develop the static crushing grip strength necessary for holding the weight they’re deadlifting. I can totally understand straps on like 600-700+ pulls, just because a lot of guys don’t want to risk bicep tears with mixed grip, but otherwise, train the grip if you’re not pulling monstrous amounts of weight!

Obviously we all have the ABILITY to not use straps, the issue can be grip holding back trap/back strength. And if you can use more weight for more reps with the same form for those exercises where you use straps, it will cause more growth there.

I find it odd you have “strongman” in your name and are advocating against straps. Straps are used in every strongman deadlift event that I have watched.
I have the APT-Motivator and like them. First I thought they were too thick but I really enjoy using them now. Very comfy.
I will buy the IronMind ones next. If Big Z is using them, they can’t that bad.
Buying wrist straps was a great decision - especially for BBing. In fact, I would go as far as saying that they are an essential tool. I pity those who try to be pseudo hardcore here and say not to use them. I think it just shows that you are a beginner.
