What Program to Do?

Hello.
I am 23 years old almost 24.
5’10 173 Pounds.
I done the 3 point test with a caliper and it put me at 24% BF.
Which going by the figures would put me at 130 lbm with 40 lbs of fat.

I am guessing the answer would be to clean bulk but i am worried that if i do that my skin will stretch more when i get up to 190-200 lbs ?

I have lifted a little in the past but cant keep consistency due to my diet being bad and its hard to eat good meals when i work for 8 hours with no fridge, microwave oven, surrounded by fast food in a retail kiosk.

My stats are:

Bench 90 pounds 3x5
Dead lift 132 pounds 3x5
Squat 80 pounds 3x5.

Basically i need your advice on the following

a) should i bulk or cut or eat clean and see where i go

b) what beginner program would you recommend

c) what bf% do you think i am

d) Any additional information you wish to add.

Thanks.

Aero.

Heyyy, this isn’t you, you photoshopped that…haha well everyone has to start somewhere. Welcome aboard you’ve come to the right place. Being I have a client in about 2 minutes I have to take off but take a look at some Chad Waterbury’s full body routines, TBT I believe is what they are called.

Eat clean. “bulking up” in natural bb circles seems to me like an excuse to eat shit. We’re not like Lee Priest.

Do a three-days-a-week program consisting of basic lifts like Ripptoe’s for some time.

And then have a look at “complexes for fat-loss” here on T-Nation. I really like that one.

When I started, I used a 3x10 whole body program 3 days a week. You could do the same, but with a lot more attention to diet.

Clean up diet, add 3-4 cardio workouts a week, and focus on adding muscle.

thanks so far guys.
any other replies going to work so keep em coming and i will check the replies when i get back cheers.

Also, check out some programs by Chad Waterbury. Total body training is an okay place to start.

If you just focus on cleaning up the diet and lifting heavy, you will loose some fat and gain some muscle. Don’t worry about bulking or cutting.

Yeah, you shouldn’t think of your diet as “bulking” and “cutting” but at this point I think it would be beneficial if you lost weight.

so are you suggesting.

clean diet.
lift heavy.
cardio on off days for an hour ?
