What Music Motivates You?

How do you feel about Therion then…the newer operatic stuff? Not sure what that chick’s name is but she’s got some pipes.

And doing squats on a friday or saturday getting pumped for the weekend to some Korpiklaani…Sometimes makes me wanna Crossfit

I thought Therion had a dude singer?

They’ve got that one lady, Katarina Lilja now that they are delving in to the more Melodic stuff. A little closer to the BattleLore line. A little more difficult to work out to, more like sitting in the sauna after a workout getting light headed from the heat.

man, i cant believe no one threw in DevilDriver or Coal Chamber. Chimaira plain fuckin rocks, i cant wait to see them in a couple weeks. I also like Soil, Pantera, Metallica, Damageplan, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Nothingface, Rammstein, Sepultura, Soulfly, Slayer, Slipknot, Static x, Throwdown, Union Underground… shit ill go on forever

Any thing with a good, fast paced beat that doesn’t consist of “i’m so depressed so i’m yelling in a microphone” for lyrics and no techno because all the beepy noises give me a head ache.

That pretty much leaves 80’s music.

Strapping Young Lad’s album: City

get it and listen to it LOUD! Seriously killer shit.

Lamb of God, mostly stuff from “As The Palaces Burn.”

Divinity Destroyed - Listen to it, love it, thank me for turning you on to it

Other than that, alot of Disturbed, Metallica, Iced Earth, Hatebreed, Pantera, and strangely I love a number of Marilyn Manson songs…some of the songs are just too weird to lift to, but there’s some good, heavy shit in there.

I can’t believe it. Where’s the love for Air Supply?

I like anything by Fukhed, particularly I Want to Eat Shit, and Lick My Taint.

I see your point, but the joke still sucks.
:frowning:

It’s funny to see so many finnish and swedish bands in your lists. Some of them I don’t even know. For those who like bands like In Flames and whatever metal that was mentioned in this thread, try Soilwork.

Anything from the Half-Life 2 sountrack.

Seriously.

The usual stuff, like Metallica or Slayer.

Harvester…

(It’s so fitting to see the Russian police cracking skulls during the song)

Raining Blood…

my mp3’s filled with a ton of metal, metallica, in flames, amon amarth, chimaira, acacia strain, job for a cowboy, pantera, and, of course, God’s Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash!

That’s awesome that somebody besides myself actually listens to Amon Amarth. Were you able to get to the Sounds of the Underground Tour this summer? Amon Amarth, Chimaira and Job For A Cowboy are all playing on it.

I’m a huge Amon Amarth fan, though I only recently discovered them. With Oden On Our Side is just an incredible album. I listen to it while training and while I’m driving to Krav Maga class (that and Bathory, Darkthrone, Graveland and various other bands).

Xylenes clip is gotta be the funniest shit Ive seen in a while however it doesn’t motivate me…it only served to complex me more over the homosexual community and its orgins

How about Henry Rollins?

Megadeth - A Tout le Monde
Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten
Cannibal Corpse - Stripped, Raped, and Strangled
Vader - Litany
Psycroptic - Lacertine Forest

My pre-workout car music, which is followed by eating babies for a preworkout meal.
