When I click the video I see “This video is private.”
Yeah my bad, I just fixed it.
Reps look clean to me. Try filming straight on from the side next time, easier to evaluate that way.
No glaring weaknesses that I see, but I’m definitely no form expert!
Yeah I kinda figured it was a shitty spot. I always feel douchey filming myself workout so I try to be discreet about it, but im just gonna start saying fuck it and let em get over it. Anyways, I was just askin cuz I always feel like I’m shooting my hips up too early and bending over too much. But I might just be too hard on myself if no one else is seeing it
Also, idk if you’ve done 531 or not but I had a couple questions about it. I don’t have the ebook, I’m just working off of the original 531 article on here. Should I just run it as the original the first time through or do you think I can get away with trying joker sets and FSL and such? I did a couple 5/3/1 style workouts with push press, Squats and bench and I haven’t tried the FSL sets but I did jokers and they were an awesome way to push more weight than you were anticipating
Sorry to be Hitting you with 20 questions, I just wanna make sure I have everything ironed out before I start
No problem with the questions man, and yes I’ve done plenty of 5/3/1.
I don’t usually program jokers in anymore, I just do them when I’m having a good day or when my top set feels light. If I’m feeling beat up at all I stay away from them and let my body recover. They are a great tool to help bust through plateaus but I think they could beat you up if used every workout for too long.
So I’d say run it as the original with some jokers sprinkled in when you’re in your groove at the gym.
Not a 5/3/1 expert here, just someone who has ran it for quite awhile (a bunch of the different variations - currently running hardgainer’s template) and knows how to make it work for me.
If you have any other questions fire away!
