“TOO DEEEEEEEEEEP!”
This guy is a fucking idiot. Louie Simmons should t-bag him in the face with his sweaty ball sack after a grueling ME squat day in insanely hot weather.

you know he isn’t kidding, there are 118 videos.
He blocked me from commenting on his videos, that’s funny because I wasn’t even talking shit to him, I asked a few questions about his fucked up training methods. I guess he is a afraid to defend his methods
This mastermind always tells in the videos that speed and power and explosiveness is important for him and his trainers. But in almost all of the vidoes most of the resistance comes from the bands. If I know anything, this isn’t a good way to create power. It’s a shitty one to be honest.
This disproves Karma because this man should already have been attacked by a flaming grizzly bear utilizing a monkey steals the peach
attack.

That’s all I got short of a good old fashioned elbow to the nose.

In the “high school raw bench” when the kid with the brown shirt comes on the “coach” says the kid is from bangor high school. Bangor is a town in the middle of Maine, and it would actually make a lot of sense if this winner was doing this shit in Maine. Watching this makes me feel sick.
In another video there’s a banner on the wall for Bucksport HS, which is right down the river from Bangor. I’m from the area and even before I noticed it one of my first thoughts was “Man, those kids look like some Maine hicks.”
This douche actually replied to me:
JA JA shut the fuck up, asshole. I’ve trained 2 world class benchers, Joe Mazza and Gene Rychlak. You don’t know shit about anything, jerkoff.
I posted some comments on his youtube video (which are now gone) and I’m blocked from posting more.
Why doesn’t someone email Gene and see what he says?
Also, Jason Pegg posted in this thread so at least 1 person from EFS knows…
Google joe average strength and check his forum.
He calls Gene an “egghead” for stealing his training method.
"I could careless who uses the JA template, teaches it, incorporates all or parts of it into their personal training.
But when someone like Gene takes my system and renames it as his own, I get a little bent. You wonder why Gene won’t post his training log, sells video’s, gives seminars? Because he still does this system.
I submitted the JA template to the U.S. Copyright office. The reg. # is TXu1-230-760.
My brother Chris is an attorney. A while back he sent Gene a letter basically telling him if he continued to promote my system as his own, or tried to sell video’s promoting my system as his own that we would see him in court.
Chris also informed Gene that I didn’t mind if he taught my system or made money teaching it, but that Gene had better acknowledge that it’s my system. Rumor has it that the reason Gene had me booted from the IPA was because of this letter.
Boo Hoo Hoo!"
In his articles he explains why he gets the kids to hold on to the rack while SSB squatting and stuff like that. Crazy stuff.
This shit gets me so upset I am avoiding looking into it any further.

This makes me want to rip my ears off and claw my eyes out. I find it hysterically funny how he mentions listening to Louie Simmons and Dave Tate and then just does every fucking single thing wrong.
This is so kewl - the single-leg squat using a bar angled to one side. Who knew you could do it that way!?!
Do they move the pins to accomodate the various heights of these kids, or are they all at parallel by assertion?
It’s Jim Parrish. This shit has been addressed many times before, he wont give in, period.
oh and all those kids bomb hard at meets
I feel sorry for those kids. It’s just wrong…ugh.

I don’t normally criticize other people’s training ideas, but Joe Average is easily one of the dumbest systems out there. I went to a meet where several people who were there competing said they ‘subscribed’ to it and gushed about how great it was. Guess what - they all bombed on squat, bench or both. Also, this freeze frame shows exactly why squatting to pins like this is insanely stupid and probably dangerous.
i think he feels the need to explain every workout on video because even he doesnt know what the fuck is going on.
Yet another part of the myriad of reasons I got out of college and HS athletic training. I would walk in the weight room and want to smash my own junk with a 100lb dumbbell at the horror shows that would be lead by the coaching staff.
There were a few dudes who were legit strong, they were smart and would totally avoid these training sessions.
I just wish I had this kind of training back in high school. I would have been a FUCKING MONSTER!!!
I love all of the lingo he tries to jam into his videos. “We’re really starting to get his numbers dialed in” Oh yeah and the fact that he name drops Louie Simmons and Dave Tate is such bull. He acts like he trained with these guys. I’m sure he would get laughed out of Westside if he ever went there.
Watch their christmas classic meet, they miss about half of their lifts and their strength is very average, I guess that is why they call it joeaveragestrength (especially when you taking into account all of the equipment they use). Whatever the hell their system is it sure isn’t working, why not show these kids how to use proper technique?
