You’ll NEVER be a “not-fat 305” with that shitty attitude.

Or at least explain your method at all.

So how 'bout it?
Although, a bodyfat test only gives a number. I don’t care about dry muscle or percentages. I care about how it all looks like. They don’t put extra water in chicken breasts for nothing.
Why are you so upset?
This isn’t about “super black genetics”.
This is about how baseless bro science is being written here by some posters and no one says anything about it.
Why are you so upset about your fellow bros’ science? Ultimately, it comes down to aesthetics. If you can get real diesel, nobody’s gonna throw bro science at you. And if they will, it won’t get attention.
But hey, are you still gonna cut more fat in spring? Getting the bf% done at the current weight can provide a good reference point. These things can be very deceptive. That photo may very well be around 20% or more. Do it. For science!
Majin wrote:

Because it is blatantly false info that can damage the progress of new trainers and I don’t see anyone here ever questioning it.
The real question is why you aren’t concerned at all…but seem extremely concerned with every post I write.

So what was it? Am i trying to get you to leave for “no reason” or is it because of the reason you said?
You are so dense you can’t form coherent sentences, or thoughts, or even arguments for that matter.

Nice insults.
Your body speaks for you.
I always thought Brick said 35-50 lbs of muscle. Maybe confusing him with someone else. Regardless, that would probably be sufficient in covering those who seem to have an advantage genetically or whatever, the outliers so to speak.

Then let me make this clear for you…in past threads, you mentioned that natural bodybuilders from the 50’s and 60’s were used to come up with data…when that means only one ethnic group n majority was looked at.
Other posters here don’t seem to even agree with your statement that I only gained 35lbs of muscle…so again I am asking how your method coincides with new scientific data.
from what you have written before, you have ignored these differences or claimed they were insignificant.
Please explain how you claim both I and the other poster both only gained 35lbs of muscle. I want to understand your method. As of yet it is very unclear.
Your past posts do not count since they did not factor this new data into account.

I don’t think your number is 35 pounds but I’m just wanting to know your take. What you think. I’m leaving the test of these guys out of it?
Why leave them out when the entire thread is about HOW he gets these numbers and why no one else is questioning him at all?
I see many posts about how much information he adds…when I have not seen that. It seems to be nothing but baseless opinion.
I am asking for his method. Why are you against me getting that info?
Don’t know and don’t care. It may be 20% right now at 270 and it may be less. I do know I look the best I have ever looked at this weight and that is what matters most…progress in muscle gains.
First of all, lets get this put right now: I’m not mad at you asking him, I don’t care that you’re trying to get that information from him.
I’m leaving other people out of this because I am trying to have a conversation with you. Not them. You.
If the purpose of this entire thread is to ask brick how he got his number then why wasnt the first post: “Hey Brick, how did you come up with your muscle gain estimation for me?”
gregron wrote:

Then you should start your own thread all about me instead of trying to change what this thread is about.
If the purpose of this entire thread is to ask brick how he got his number then why wasnt the first post: “Hey Brick, how did you come up with your muscle gain estimation for me?”
Because the info presented is one reason why his previous info posted was clearly false or misinformed.
StateOfPsychosis wrote:

It says, “I should speak less and listen more and that may help me look more developed in the long run”.
Summary, posters here even disagree with the statements made by Brickhead…but any discussion of how his info is wrong is laughed at and made fun of…leaving his misinformation to affect newbs who log in.
But clearly, the problem here is me.
Simply put, there is no science involved with what Brick is writing. It is all baseless opinion. This misinformation is even being spread by posters like ryan who make statements like, “This isn’t a bro 35lbs which translates into 50% fat 30% water and 20% muscle”…and no one says a word as to how much bro science is being handed out.
Good work, guys.

When new trainees post questions, I don’t see the thread being flooded with bro science. The average takeaway is a positive direction. Eat more of this, less of that. Are you getting enough […]? Blah blah. And that’s really all you can hope for. They get a general direction and figure out the other stuff through trial and error.
If you want to have an actual discussion on what to tell new trainees, then provide examples of what YOU would say. Otherwise this thread is pointless. I’m sure thousands will log in to read the bickering and arguments, but will come out thinking it’s all a wash. Cause it is.

Serious question though; you maintain that you’re whole reasoning for being upset with guesses as to your specific stats as being that it will somehow prevent or derail other people’s progress. I’m sure others, as well as myself, see plenty of guessing going on all over the internet and even in real life, and yet there doesn’t seem to be any widespread lack of progress being made in gyms. Actually, I would venture to say that people are doing quite well these days simply through finding common issues and support through various online forums.
If this is truly your MO, preventing the spread of ‘broscience’, why don’t you ever pop over to any other online sites that must be filled with quite an abundance of people relying on the same ‘faulty science’? Who knows, you might be able to save a few misdirected souls instead of simply turning every thread of yours on here (no matter what you title them) into the same argume----uh… discussions that all seem to come back to your own progress.

This post makes sense.
Regarding estimating bodyfat from pictures:
There are other sites where there are HIGH LEVEL contest prep coaches who have a far better trained eye than do posting–you know, like Chris Aceto, Dave Palumbo, Fakri (spelling?) Mubarak, Hany Rambod, Shelby Starnes, John Meadows, Phil Hernon, Skip. I am actually pretty confident those guys would make similar bodyfat estimations (20+ or mid 20’s) on that picture.
Like you said, there are also guys using the same estimations for muscular gains for naturals all over the net. X, have you considered saving some easily influenced people over there too?

How does this affect them?
I’m fine with people disagreeing with me. I’ve even had people not believe stuff I say on a number of subjects even when evidence is CLEAR and estimations and guesses are not used.
But clearly, the problem here is me.
I don’t see you as a problem. All I can say negative at this point is that you were rude to me sometimes, but that’s easy for men to get over. I see you as someone who is out of touch with his own body composition and the amount of muscle he has gained, which isn’t a bad thing per se. One time in college I thought I had 7% because some silly device at a GNC store said so. I also once believed goofball authors/gurus who say they walk around year round at 5-7%, one of whom used to write a ton articles on this site.
It’s actually not baseless opinion. It’s from studying natural bodybuilders over the past half century, many of whom in the current day are black and brown and yellow (please attend an INBF or WNBF show and you’ll see no shortage of blacks and some Asians with great genetics).
Good work, guys.
What exactly would you like them to do if they disagree with me other than state they disagree with me?
