Why let her lay down the rules?
Plus, she does not really have to lay down any rules, society has already done that for her.
If we postulate that serial monogamy is the norm, it really serves the female imperative, because if men want to fuck anything that moves and women want to trade up you are in the interesting position that if you fuck someone else you are an asshole, but if she is of to greener pastures that is just the way it goes and “it was not meant to be” and you “were not right for her”.
Which is why it is a good idea to let her fight for a committed relationship (that, at least", she will appreciate it more.
You over-think everything.

Yes, I do.
But once I have overanalyzed it to death I usually distill it down to some simple rules.

good, Mr. O - Good~
I think more along the lines that women take a lot for granted because we have allowed them in our society to define what is and what is not ok in a relationship.
If you accept that, you are in her frame from the word go.
I am not saying that they cannot voice their wishes and that they are not important, at least to them, but that they are universally accepted as the one true path is a bit much.
The Hugh Hefners of this world do not accept this and who can say anything about it?
Its not really a secret what to expect if you get involved with him, he has succesfully flipped the script.
Edgy this reminds me of the episode of Always Sunny where the gang is being psychoanalyzed and Dennis in turn psychoanalyzes the therapist, because he knows he’s the only sane one and he is actually testing her.

You’re Dennis.
One of the few episodes I’ve seen. Good comparison
