What happened to TC? He’s gone?
No, but the Dog is gone and the attitude/spirit/camaraderie that it engendered is too. The close connection between admins, editors, mods and members is virtually nonexistent also. There’s practically no “tie that binds,” if I may borrow the term from the Christian hymn.

It ain’t what you remember it being 'round here.
Agreed. The only ties are people that you’ve been friends with - or in my and Push’s case, arguing with - for nearly a decade. (EDIT: OVER A DECADE. Fuck I’m getting old).

There’s no overarching sense of purpose. But I mean, again, fuck it, it’s a website, maybe there doesn’t have to be.

But it was good in its prime. No doubt.
It was good. It really was.

I have made a significant number of friends here and…“enemies,” like you, who really are friends when it comes down to it.

The golden era of this forum. Anyways how yah doing push? I miss the tales of push and his exploits

Doing well! You?

Life is a highway, I’m going to ride it all night long.
It’s always a song with you, man! Keep it up!

If I just go and post something in Motivational Posters I will have the last post in the last 6 topics.

Overweight foreigners? Are you for fucking real? Have you ever heard some of these football players speak, especially the ones who are suffering from dementia at the age of 40? Half of them sound like fucking aliens. They certainly aren’t speaking anything close to the language that you and I speak.

And I laugh at the overweight part. Pablo Sandoval is literally the sloppiest, fattest player in the majors, and there are about half a dozen guys on EVERY team in the NFL that make him look like an Olsen twin.

Your slanderous, socialist, semi-treasonous arguments hold no water.
Sorry for late response I was out killing deer for my freezer.

NFL>Baseball in every TV rating for last 10-15 years.
So what? Every single Justin Bieber single has placed higher on the charts than ANY single from Led Zeppelin. Madonna, Elton John, Rihanna, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey have all sold more albums than the Rolling Stones. Unless you’re a fucking buttercup, there’s no way you can argue that ANY of those artists are better than the goddamned Stones.

Besides, America is WAY more socialist today than it was 50 years ago. I don’t think it’s a coincidence at all that as the country has grown more and more socialist, the popularity of football has correspondingly skyrocketed past baseball.

Holy cow… This forum redesign may have just been the final nail in the coffin.

On top of all the other features that were broken, The formatting on ALL the posts just got ruined. The quote function just broke and there are no line breaks…

Sorry guys, really should have tested this one out a bit more before a site wide rollout… I’m hoping it gets better.

I kind of like it. Buggy still, yes, but I hated the black wall. Black-on-white is much easier to read.

Appears to be a number of posters who bit the dust, as well.

That’ll be corrected by this time tomorrow, if not sooner. The new layout was definitely tested, but when rolling over the entire forum (which, in technical terms, is a metric shit-ton of gigabytes), there’s only so much they can do to handle the volume of info and prep beforehand. Some of it, unfortunately, has to be straightened up afterwards.

Much prefer this format myself.

Going to take a while to get used to it.

Ya, that’s for sure.

If traffic hadn’t slowed it will with this format change. What a disaster. Nearly impossible to navigate.

Formatting disaster on every post which I read above will be fixed by tomorrow. We will see. Great work.

Nearly impossible to navigate.
It’s really not. It’s just that it is so different from the old style. I speak from experience because I was playing around on the test site here and after a few days of regular use it got easier.

The trick is to try to not keep comparing the functionality to the old site, like “we used to quote like this, now we quote like this”. That’s probably against natural instinct and a bit of an ask, but it’s going to be the easiest way to work into the forum.

When you get a new girlfriend, you’ll drive yourself nuts if you keep comparing her to your last. Even if your last girl was awesome, she started letting things slip here and there. Your new girl is awesome too, you just need to get to know her and figure out her new soft spots. (I’m rambling, but I think the analogy still fits.)

The functionality bit is improved, I’ll grant you guys that. I do like the “endless scrolling” style instead of the pages, and the jumping to Top and Bottom, but I hate staring a white screen like this. I wish there was a “night mode” option like many other sites have that switch the background to black and text to white/orange/whatever

I also miss the “todays posts” function, as I would often pop into Wendler and CT’s forum and just click that to see what knowledge they were dropping today.

I feel like my significant other of 8 years walked out on me and I am now dating a young girl who is kind of cute but has gone off her meds.

I am glad that you all are going to keep working on the new forums, and I hope that the members’ feedback will be considered.

Although I mostly lurk, I love T-Nation and I look forward to seeing how the new format works out.

Damn. So sorry to hear.

hmmm - not sure if i know how to post on this site anymores…gonna take some figgerin on my part.
