its called t-cell alpha and its not that active because you can only talk about the same god damn thing so often…
Its lifting ppl. Theres not always somethiong to discuss or a new secret every fucking day.
Hell the articles get so bland, they repeat deadlift articles just from different authors etc…
Without having lame jokes and trolls this forum would be dead. Seriouslyt. Its dead as is and if we didnt fuck around no one would even be on here.
True - I visited for the information, stayed for the lolz.
I miss RV.
its all about the lulz guys come on. Its the internet. If you really cared that much you could read a book or something and get no bullshit. Or pay someone to train you… or get your own degree.
But no, we all come to use free TNation for lots of lulz and some lifting things. Its the internets job to provide lulz for me at work.

I took a hiatus as well and didn’t think it was as good when I came back. The bodybuilding forum has a few great competition threads and stickies but the rest of the posts are basically people trying to outdo each others bad jokes. For one question, you might get 1 serious response for every 3 wisecracks. It’s a waste of time reading most posts.

I completely agree. It’s a bunch of fuckin’ clowns trying to outdo one another. I’d venture a guess that half the people here either don’t lift or, if they do, don’t look like it. It’s a shame what the forums have become…

As a beginner, I’m not familiar with how things used to be. But I want to say that I actually have found lots of solid advice here. I just had to work for it a bit. Also, the archives are great. If it weren’t for the archives, I would have never joined T-Nation.
These forums may suck by your standards, but by mine, this is pretty much the best place on the net to be if you’re at all serious about lifting.

Not for anything, but there’s a “Where did all the regulars go?” post that comes up every year, without fail. It just names different, more recent “regulars.”

Truth…many of the former posters have migrated to other forums and G+ groups.
Some of the newer features of the site have irritated a few people, but such is the golden man/globe evolution.

nope actually lou mirrored my opinions and then i re echoed them. Jeez you dumb fuck.
I have been logging on to T since 2003. Starting posting around 05-06. The site has had its ups and downs over the years. The number of assholes used to just be ridiculous. From guys claiming to be experts, and although could throw around heavy weights, had no clue what the fuck they were talking about to just plain pricks.
I get keeping out the guys with their shirts off, posing holding a Puma shoe asking what we thought their BF percentage was. However, for a while there it was out of control, and not even worth venturing into. You had guys ripping apart seasoned trainers with PhDs, just because…Or the T-sheep, that were just parroting the latest authors training theory. At one point if you did a body part split, and had an arm day, you were a fucking idiot stuck in the dark ages. Then everyone turned on Chad and FBT was complete shit.
I think after TC’s we dine in hell tonight 300 thread, when he almost pulled the plug completely on the forums, the discourse and level of maturity has improved. It seems to have leveled off a bit. Not everyone wants to have a distended gut and 22 inch arms. Not everyone cares about ripped abs, and just wants to be huge and lift heavy shit. Not everyone wants to deadlift 700 lbs, but not be able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded, and not everyone wants to be a little fit at everything, but not stand out at one thing.
There seems to be more of a mutual respect for everyone, no matter what their goals are, and the old training dogmas have proved to be useful. While I still think the 120lb teenager shouldn’t be worried about whether they should be taking their leucine prior to training, with 2% or fat free milk, there is definitely a middle ground between just being a douche bag, and telling him not to worry about such minute details when you disappear every time you turn to the side.

This. I don’t post… anymore. But - - -
I know some guys who were very well respected around this site, and had also been posting here for years. I’m not going into specifics, but the reason that many of the aforementioned lifters have left this site is for reasons beyond newbs/trolls/what have you posting on the forums.
There was recently, and quite obviously, a shift in goals and priorities for this website and forum, and a lot of these members were not on board with this change. I still enjoy these forums and want to contribute more but there seems to be a very uneven flow of moderation here - which has been an issue that has separated T-Nation from other places for years.
Biotest is doing well for itself, though, and there’s plenty of other free forums that one can participate in if the (free) T-Nation isn’t adequate to your liking.

Eh, not worth it. I’m really not here to cause trouble. Things happened, and a lot of terrific people left the site for various reasons. Good posters ebb and flow.
