Using your stats, I worked it up to be about 2700 kcal. So 3000 kcal may be high, but if you’re 117 lbs I wouldn’t be worried too much about it.
Please shut up. Of course I mean that in the nicest way. 3,000cals may be a bit high? There are literally 6 foot skeletons that should weigh more than he does and you even use words in ways to slightly suggest he needs to be worried about eating too much? These kids logging in like this are either lying, trolls, or there is a large epidemic of manorexic she-males growing right under our noses.
wtf? For one thing I clearly told him I wouldn’t be worried about it being too much because he’s 117. Secondly, I’m 5’11" 175 and I’m gaining on 3000 or so day. Not everybody needs to eat 5000 calories a day to gain weight.[/quote]
No, you clearly told him that it MAY BE A BIT HIGH. I could care less how much you are eating. Everyone also doesn’t have the same metabolism so if his requires more food than you, he should consider that it may be A BIT HIGH? You’re the one that wrote it. Don’t get pissed because you got called on it.

I think I’ve figured the secret out. I think the poster could be 5’1, 117 @14%bf. I know a girl with these stats. Ok… not exactly, she’s at 120 lbs @ 15 % bf. lol
I’ve known girls that height and weight. (catwalk models) I’ve met one guy 6’10" and 150lbs. But I’ve never met anyone that height, weight AND fat % … something’s not right here.
hmmm… come to think of it, I knew a guy who was very average / slender, you wouldn’t consider him a big guy at all, and when he went to the police force they checked him for bodyfat and he was OVER - and I tell you there is no way he was over - so maybe the method is screwy, picking up too much skin or something.
I don’t see what the big deal is. Have any of you even gone to high school? There are 17 year olds that have not even gone through puberty, and a LOT of skinny kids.
Eat every 3 hours, hell, you only need about 2300 calories to gain at 117, (BW x 15 + 500), but that probably sounds/seems like a lot to you. If you eat every 2-3 hours (4 hours TOPS, only do that if it’s impossible to get food), there is no way in hell you’d get under 2500 calories. Have a PB or meat sandwich and a glass of milk, that’s about 400-600 calories, multiply that by 6 meals, you’re already between 2400-3600 calories. At this point, it doesn’t matter what the hell you eat, just cram it all down, and gain a lot of strength in the weight room.
Hey It’s been a while. If anybody remembers this. But this is how I’ve came so far.
I’ve grown to Six foot, or at least really close. And I way some where around 126, maybe 125.
So, I’ve gained around nine pounds I don’t really feal any fatter so at least most of it was muscle, besides the height gain. How much weight do you think .75 of an inch would add to my frame.
Are these gains bad, descent, good for how long it’s been. They seem good to me cuz it’s been the first time I’ve actually gained anything substantial from working out.
What do you guys think?
I’ll be gone till like Tuesday hiking into the grand canyon for this “off to college” father and son bonding type trip. It’s going to be Super Super hot expecially for a California ohh I think seventy degrees is hot. I’m a wuss when it comes to heat. Hiking in like the ninty plus heat is going to be super hard. Hopefully I don’t lose weight out there. I’m skinny enough.

I think you are delusional. You grew in height and gained nine pounds. Gee, most kids should be doing that WITHOUT lifting weights. At 125lbs, no, those are NOT good gains. Do you eat…food? You don’t feel any fatter? Why would “fatness” even be entering your mind at 125lbs? Hell, at that weight, even if you gained some body fat, that would be a GOOD thing.
