What Day Do You Do Snatches On?

I’m trying to incorporate snatches into my routine, however I’m not really sure where to put them…Here’s how my routine breaks down right now:

Week 1:
Tuesday: Chest/Tri/Shoulders
Wednesday: Quads/Calves
Saturday: Back/Hams/Bi

Week 2:
Tuesday: Chest/Tri/Shoulders
Wednesday: Legs (Quads&Hams) / Calves
Saturday: Back/Bi

Which day would be the optimal fit for snatches do you think?

A bed, kitchen floor, couch, shower… wherever, really.

I would probably do them on the back/hammie day.

Snatches are a full body lift and don’t fit into any particular day of your training schedule.

hmmm yeah I’m sort of vexed…

The reason I split up my routine like that is if I do squats on wednesday, by Saturday my hamstrings and glutes aren’t recovered enough to deadlift worth shit.

and yes snatches are good to do every day hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…sorry I had to join in the fun

Do them first on your leg day.

dont mix full body with split routine

You could try this

Week 2:
Tuesday : Upper body
Wednesday: Lower body
Saturday: Full body

Or since your hams take a long time to recover:
Tuesday: Lower body
Wednesday: Upper body
Saturday: Full body

CT recommends doing them first on you back day in his big back stack program.

I’d say they are more of a back exercise then anything else, so putting them on your back day seems like the obvious choice.
