I think i get a fair amount of balance in my job most days , but I do stand in one place a lot which I read isn’t the best, especially if I’m putting the weight to one leg more often than the other .

I might lift today since I had yesterday and today off work and then just time with family on Saturday and Sunday I’m going to a Jays game in T.O. with friends.

That would be working your hamstrings if you crouch over a counter or something too while standing.

Good news everyone!!

X-rays showed i am actually really fucking crooked and its not just in my head :laughing:

It’s my tailbone that’s all twisted and wonky making a bunch of the rest of me out of alignment. Also some shit in my neck …
I stepped on this bilateral scale and my left scale read 59lbs while the right one said 66lbs.
To me, i felt i was evenly distributing my weight, but i clearly was not.
I thought could usually tell when I’m shifting from one leg to the other, but just think about standing 8hrs like that and squatting like that and living like that.
One of my legs was half an inch longer because of the twisting in my tailbone.
My left hip appears elevated because it is.
My shoulders are even, but because I’m twisted one appears higher and that’s why i cant press anything in a straight line.

BUT the good news is he feels as though we can make a lot of progress together with proper adjustments. Even just the few he did today made my legs an even length and the release of my lower back feels like nothing I have ever experienced before. I feel like for the first time since I gave birth my my curve in my lower back has magically disappeared.

Not only that, but I found the perfect squat stance FOR ME personally. Never be afraid to start over when something isn’t working.

First i knew I needed my hands to be further out on the bar because of the pec pain was getting with every set, but i also knew with my closer grip it helped me feel tighter. So i read about a cue that really helped and it was like try to get your elbows to touch behind you. I did this with a wider grip, and not only did my lats engage better, but there was no strain at all on my pec.
double WIN!!

Second i read that people with long femurs and short torsos DO perform better with toes pointed outwardly more so than the norm, but also to adopt a wider stance. I knew that wider stances causes more hip shift for me, so i decided to do a very narrow stance with my toes pointed outward slightly more than medium outwardly LOL, and BOOM. Everything felt AMAZING. I felt way more upright, more in control, like the rep itself required less distance because there wasn’t my usual forward lean bullshit going on .

I used to get worried when my son would be a sleepovers or whatever because I was worried I would feel alone and want to text my ex or whatever, but now I just really enjoy them. Like oh good a super early bed time or yay some nextflix by myself . A weekend to unwind with my mom, etc, etcc

All of my decisions are based on what I want, what makes ME happy. I used to not be able to decide on things because I wanted to do things that would please my ex and they weren’t things that I really wanted for myself, or even worse I would have no clue what I wanted in my heart.
And now I know. I want all of that which I currently have.
