K well, two major breakthroughs for moi.

  1. Marshall wanted to go out last night and I told him he destroyed me on the inside. I know, a stronger girl would have bitched at him and reamed him the fuck out, but this is all I can really do at this point. I expressed my hurt and stayed in bed, therefore PROUD OF JENN.

If I feel that wigged out about an horribly difficult squat workout without cardio, I cant even begin to imagine how mental ima feel about my first rest day, WHICH, BTW is scheduled for this Sat.

Will I survive?!

Stay tuned…

You will survive but you won’t like it. I’ve trained seven days per week for years. I like getting the blood flowing everyday by lifting.

But…

You can’t train 7 days per week with the volume you are doing. I would suggest option 1) just doing your deadlifting and deficit deadlifting early in the week and moving your accessory work for upper back and biceps to the scheduled off day. Or option 2) Do your bench work only and move the face pulls, rear delt and tricep work to the scheduled off day.

Doing either one of these will give your body two mini breaks each week, One on the day you just do your compound movement and the second on the day when you are just doing accessory work. And you won’t have to deal with the mental side of taking days off completely from the gym.

Just a thought based on what has worked well for me.

Bowser and Fuck off! Now, he knows he can worm his way out of it. Send you some flowers or useless shit like, say some more words he doesn’t mean, and you will let him back in. Just so he can rip your guts again.

That is a very smart suggestion.

Also, and bear in mind I’ve been trying to formulate the following in as positive a way as I can because I’ve got a bunch of respect for you - certainly enough that I can’t not raise this:

I think you may do well to take a step back and determine why you train. Is it to get stronger; or is it to help you cope with your anxiety/OCD/etc? The two aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, but one purpose will always outweigh the other.

If your purpose is to get stronger, you need to change how you train, back off the volume and recover better. You may feel good and tough pushing yourself that hard, and it may help you cope, but it is very probably impeding your progress.

If your training is just to help you cope, that probably is less relevant.

Anyway, if I can help in anyway, let me know.

This is a super good idea for a more sane version of me, loL.
As I am right now, I can’t just have one slice of pizza if you know what I mean. I’d eat the entire large all in one sitting even if the plan is to go in and remain in control…

My purpose absolutely is 100% to get stronger. I think most of the time my training makes my anxiety and OCD flare up worse.

It’s odd though, because my OCD and I have the same goals, and want all the same things, but it lies to me and tells me we have to do this and this and this in order to achieve these goals. If it’s not a batshit crazy approach then we are a failure and haven’t tried hard enough.

On the other hand, if I were to write a strength program for someone else I would not in a million years force them to train 7 times a week because it’s lunacy. WHY CANT WE SEE EYE TO EYE?
I dunno

But I am going to try and you make a very good point. I need to remind myself why I train. It’s not to be weak and injured, that’s for sure.

Oh, you give him far too much credit thinking he would send flowers, LOl. Even if apology “nice” shit is not really very considerate…

I’ll grow some gonads.

Someday.

Le sigh.

That would be more about self control and discipline than sanity, though.

Honestly, I think his BS unravels the OCD more than say the Workout or other things.

OCD in the weight room is good because you are overly attentive to detail which tends to drive the inner you harder; which will eventually lead to a better you. This is good.

NEWAY gabe is off with his grandparents on the other side of the family for a week of camping and fishing and whatnot. So basically he’s not even been gone for 24hrs and I want him to come home and snuggle with me:sob:

Gonna be a long ass week of watching shit I hate on Netflix

BYE

yes which is odd because those are two things I lack and two things I have in abundance depending on the situation

THis is also true .

I get really bad separation anxiety from him when I don’t see him or when I feel like I am never going to see him again. It’s extremely intense and extremely uncomfortable for me

I think he knows this.
Hence, the booty calls.

Oh, who gives a shit about all of this romance - when are you going to hit two plates on your squat? I’m sneaking up on three and I don’t want to wait on my internet Bestie.

Once she let him treat her like a doormat he knew he could walk all over her,and still get laid. He will never truly care or show her respect she thinks he might get if she waits long enough.
