What are Good Lifts?

Are mine alright?

I’m 15 and was just thinking what my lifts are like? I’ve been gyming for about 4-5 months, weigh 180 lbs, not fat, 6ft,

All these stats are for 8-10 reps for 4 sets, idk what my 1 rep max is. I can post videos if you don’t believe me :stuck_out_tongue:

Squat: 180lbs

Flat Dumbbell press: 72 lbs each arm, 144lbs total

Shoulder dumbbell press: 50lbs each arm, 100 total

Dead lift: 200lbs

It’s pretty hard to have “good lifts” at 15. Just be happy you started so early and keep at it, because if you do your lifts will be amazing in a few years.

What about barbell or dumbbell rows and pulldowns or pull-ups?

Everything looks solid for your age and experience, but your chest press seems to be your best/strongest lift. Just make sure you’re not over-emphasizing chest work (training legs, back, and everything else just as hard) and that you’re using a full range of motion on each rep, not cutting them short/shallow to make it easier.

Dan John wrote a good article that talked about some goals to shoot for, in the long-term:

Like Csulli said, you’re on the right track if you keep training smart and be consistent with it.

They look good for a 15 year old.

What are your goals? Size, strength?

I can do 12 pull ups, yeh my goal is strength and size I’m playing rugby next year

What are you doing as far as conditioning (running)? This is of vital importance if you plan on playing rugby.

I would also suggest you lift heavier (meaning a lower rep range)
