I’m 15 and I’ve been lifting for around 5 months. I started only a few weeks after I turned 15.
This kid who wants to train with you is 14? So, he’s a Freshman?
I really wish I had started at 14 and had a year and 5 months of lifting behind me instead of just 5 months.
Before I started lifting, I ate like shit and all that. Make sure that if he starts lifting, he starts leading a healthy lifestyle and not just building muscle. That means proper nutrition, proper lifting, and cardio.
I did really dumb shit for the first few months of lifting. I barely worked the triceps, did weird combinations of reps and sets, didn’t even work the back, just too much dumb shit.
Mentor this kid and make sure he doesn’t make the same mistakes that people often make when just starting out.
