what does it mean on the westside program for hte max lifts where it says work to a max set of 3-5 reps?? can some1 please explain that to me im really confused on that.

Let’s say that your best 1RM bench is 315. Your 3RM may be 265.
So let’s say you set up to bench 250 on a 3RM. If you can get 4 or 5 reps…then this is not your 3RM. Add weight until you are sure you couldn’t grind out a 4th rep.
Same principle applies with 5RM. Cool?
