how did 495 feel?? heavy as shit. I preach to everyone to get a liftoff and i go and break the rule. my training partner went out of town and i didn’t trust anyone there to give me a liftoff. i won’t be doing that again.

I can’t express how suprised I was by 290 attempt. The most I’ve touched on any barbell bench movement in the last 3 months or so is probably 255. The elbow flare on the 290 was terrible and stalled a good few seconds before lockout, but it got up there. I weighed in at 202-203 today and the last time I’ve hit anything near that I was at around 215, so I’m certainly pleased.

Remember my strategy. Whenever you are feeling down and not very whoreish, just pick an exercise you’ve never done (like my 2 boards) and everything that day will be a PR. lol.

Same here. That’s why I changed the days from the standard template. You can’t buy a bench on Mondays, but you can have the rack every day!

Speed felt good on Squats today. I didn’t use the box, just did them free style.

I tried to get creative with the rack pulls. I was in a squat rack rather than a cage today. I looped the minis around the bottom of the rack 3 times and then doubled them over the bar. There was only 6" between where I looped it and the bar, so tension increased very quickly on these. The last couple reps on each of the 365’s were pretty taxing.

Overall good lift. This is my last one for at least 10 days, unless I find a gym overseas that’s worth training at.

Elbows and knees are feeling a little tender, so a week off won’t kill me, and I’m sure I’ll get more than enough calories in next week. Although I’m not sure beer calories are exactly the best option. :wink:

Great strategy! I’ll have to remember that. I’ll do it proud although I did have to add some real lifts to it like Log and axle overhead, log and axle strict press, powerclean, etc :stuck_out_tongue:

:slight_smile: Im lucky I guess in I just set up camp super set using a power rack, a bench if im benching and the a pull uop station or what not LOL. The all look and comment but no one has tried moving my shit yet LOL

Good luck with the PM, it hasn’t worked yet. I’ve only been able to send it via e-mails. But keep your damned penny…obviously this isn’t my ticket to retirement, now I’ll have to find another way to make money.
