Maybe Ill start trying to give picks of the destruction,remodeling for shits and giggles with my w/os if I can remember to take pics.

Heres one of my nice new patio I laid brick by friggin brick and got to tear back up to get to the sewer knock holes in foundation etc. the hole further away was 4 foot deep as well at one point

OK both kind SUCK day and AWESOME DAY!!

The suck. Im wore out need to back off just all this extra LIFE stuff demolition, work, lack of sleep catching up with me. Took all I had to get a very very nominal PR not even what I was aiming and that zapped me for all I had for the day as far as DOING IT!! That and wasn’t fired up to train for me that’s the biggest sign to Back off a bit before things get bad.

Ill be backing off, go very light on assistance again Thursday, not doing events Saturday going to go work The Missouri Strongest man contest, reset implements and just have a good time.

Have a ton of work to do still but just try and get some rest and EAT!!! So all In all NOT horrid still got a so called PR but nothing to write home about. After it just went for some good singles lowered the volume.

The AWESOME!!! I DL’d Today didn?t go HEAVY but better then I thought prob as far as I should have pushed it today got a NICE pull in the arm. But No pain Kind of odd at lockout. But VERY pleased and felt great to DL

    155 x 10
    245 x 5
    295 x 3
    335 x 3
    385 x 1
    420 x 2 (PR I guess wanted three and did it but cheated wont count it)

    OK just nothing to feel great about this was dog hard and shouldn?t have been would have been a 5 lb 3RM but on the third rep took bad arm off bar and slightly braced quad wont count it. I suppose it?s a two rep PR. These with the safety squat Bar are still DARN hard compared to a regular bar even with a higher load. Rest and come back strong

  2. Front squat ( just hit good heavy singles, no energy to REP out)
    225 x 3
    315 x 1
    405 x 1
    385 x 1

3A) Deficit Stiff DL off 6inch box DBL over hand
135 x 5
225 x 5
315 x 5!!!
Had no real clue what to expect started at the 135 and felt it out. 315 was for sure pushing it arm wise but back etc felt good. I chose to do the 6 inch deficit still leg just to make the sub par load a bit more of a challenge

Something to build on for sure. Once I can really PULL hard I think I havent lost to much. To be seen.

3B) lunge body weight lust get some blood flow
3 sets

3C) decline weighted abs
3 sets 70lbs

Cant really complain just listen to body come back next week and hit some real loads/workouts.
Felt GREAT to do a form of DL again after so long

BigHog, good to hear. Just start light with them and build them over time. If you haven’t done them before, you will want to get good at doing the motion first.

Also, it can be stressful on the A-C joint with heavy weights if you haven’t built up to it (it’s similar to falling on an outstretched hand which is the primary mechanism for an A-C sprain). I started with 135 for 3 sets of 10 back in Dec/Jan, and just added 10lbs or so each week. Good luck.

I tell you what, lifting is such a big deal that I would seriously consider it if I wasn’t married with the kid. I think most of us are in the same boat without training partners.

How is it that we are all so dedicated and no one in any gym that I have been in is? I really don’t know how I’m going to train the bench now. I may have to find another gym with some stronger guys. we shall see. until then I guess I need to start practicing the electric slide.

there are a couple in the area. but i’m a lazy bastard and really am not looking forward to all the BS associated with that. I quess i will have to though, but there is always The John Bastow training video series on DVD. I could do all my training at home with 10 pound dumbells. I could also learn to stand kinda sideways like him to make my budda look smaller. maybe some frosted tips to complete the look.

keep the pics coming. I stayed up late last night and finished my drop ceiling. I’m going to hang the doors next. my wife bought me the first two seasons of the Sapranos on DVD. Once I get the room done and a big ass flat screen on the wall, i’ll be living down there for summer. I only have a couple more days of work before summer break.

Maybe I’ll go train this evening. hopefully i will get my John Bastow videos in the mail so I can get my glute burn on.

For real. During the offseason I lift at a high school gym, usually by myself but sometimes there’s some other people there. Anytime I load 4 plates per side (shit, sometimes even 3 per side) I get stares of amazement. You know your gym sucks when a 465 deadlift inspires awe and fear.

I train some of the (girls) volleyball players at that school and it is really sad because I have two girls that squat more than most of the football team.

Thanks bro Im thinking add it on ME days as an after thought keep the reps controlled for a bit. Hoping I can work back up to six plates at least with out to much trouble in the next few months.

The m,ain thing it seemed to do was stretch the hell out of the skin/scar tissue it was a bit sore later in the day.

I would say Ill get pics at the strongman but I get wrapped up in these things and forget and I think theyll have me pretty busy should be a blast though
