1 small bag of Cheetos (640 calories!)
8 saltines w/ Smart Balance spread
1 8 oz. top sirloin steak (grass fed!)
1 can of Hansen’s fucking raspberry sugar soda, because why not at this point?
Anyhoo, back on track today. Mid 220s, here I come!

Okay… I had one of those days where I had no aches when training and the weight felt light. On top of it I’m down to about 263. this was a kickass training session.
full squat
0x10
135x8
225x6
315x3
405x2
495x1
585x1
635x1-put briefs on for this set
675x1-light wrapped knees
735x1-PR!!! this was a huge PR. My spotters told me that I still had some in the tank. Suprisingly I felt great after this set. My biceps were aching from holding the bar. The hardest thing is walking it out and setting my feet.
Leg Press - just # of 45’s… to lazy to add it up.
8x6
16x6
24x6
24 + random 175lb guy walking by x 6
the funny thing is that I just grabbed this dude walking by and told him to jump up on the sled. He looked at me a bit strange but did it. when i went to the waterfountain this guy comes up and says - “dude, that machine is only designed to hold 1000lbs” I said that it’s my job to go around to gyms and test the limits on the machines. He just nodded and walked away. My training partner couldn’t help but laugh.
seated military presses- bar resting on pins at chin level. all reps done paused on pins.
0x6
135x6
225x6
275x3
315x2
365x1
training like tonight is what it’s all about. when all your training and sacrificing pays off. For the first time in all my years of training, I think I have found my perfect form on the squat.
hope it doesn’t take another 15 years to find it on the bench and dead.
Bench
125x5

CG Bench
225x3,3,3,3,3
DB 1-arm rows
75x30
100x15
115x10
Notes: was going to do pullups and hammer curls, but after the volume of the rows I was done. Interestingly enough, my back gave out before my grip. I think I can start doing farmer’s walks with the 100’s…
EDIT:
Went back and did the pullups and hammers anyway
Pullups (neutral grip, hands close)
BWx15,14,12
Hammers (no thumbs)
40x8,8 (alternating)
40x10 (together)!? no swinging…

According my calculator you legpressed 1255 lbs not counting the sled. That means your legs can do an 800-plus lb squat. So no wonder you had some left in the tank on your squats
Nice going Modi. I am creeping closer on squats, bumped up my squat max from 370 to 405 today. I hit 385, then 405. Went for another rep at 405 but got stuck. Will hit 405 on bench again in two weeks. Lets go brother!

35x12!! (ugly)
5x5’s felt good, but a bit heavier than expected. My DB band presses definitely suffered from the increased volume of 5x5’s, I’ll knock down the DB weight next week and start building again. 3 reps on the last set and I was fried.
Overall I felt like I had good energy today, just need to get used to 5x5 again. Next week I’ll pick up from where I left off with 5x5’s last time. Time to eat.
Hell yeah meat!!! Awesome job bro, congrats on the PR my friend.

I agree sit back more One thing that will help turn the box so the point od the box will be between your legs dont have to worry about calves hitting the box on decent easy to get footin right. Then much like an RDL sit back into it
Its not horrid just something to work on and try and lad with the head coming off and drive hips Forward under you

Go to his profile and click the videos link at the top. It’s the last video on the right…the one that looks like it was shot in the dark…in a cave…at night…with a dark filter and the lens cap still on the camera. Ok, it’s not that bad, but it is a bit dark. LOL.
Maybe you need to turn up the “brightness” on your monitor Modi! I’ll admit that it is dark though.
Damnm fucking great PR bro. I agree in the set up walk out ti I really need to quit dillying with mine that and feeking it in the Bis squezzzeing the bar

Hey meat you are a badass, squatting mid 7’s with bleeding thighs grabbing randmon guys and throwing them on the leg press to knock out some reps, thats awesome.

Just ask one of the many certified personal trainers at your gym. They’ll set you up in no time!

Thanks AA, I should be good for 315x5x5 next week, then it’s time to build.
Alright fellas, thanks for the feedback. I’ll really focus on sitting back as far as I can the next time I do them. I’ll even drop down in weight too. Just so I’m not worried about falling backwards.

Slacker!
All kidding aside, that is amazing, man.
thanks!!
for once I don’t feel like a slacker. Only lifting two days a week as opposed to the four that most people do.
It was pretty funny. I was sizing up people to use for extra weight when this dude walked by. I stopped him and said -" Hey, buddy, how much you weigh." Without missing a beat he said 175. I said- “jump aboard… I need more weight.” He did so without any questions. why can’t real life be this easy.

It’s amazing how you can feel all run down and then have a great day of training and then have feel great all day and your training go in the toilet.
oh well, the bad days make you appreciate that good ones.
I’m going to look into full meets after I get a couple push/pulls under my belt. I know… I’m a big fat pussy.

that sounds like an American Express commercial…
Squatting 735…cost 15 years in the gym
New gym shorts after bleeding threw old ones… $30
throwing random guy on leg press for extra weight… Priceless

I’m not advanced enough to ask advice from someone who went to a whole hour long seminar on how to properly place the foam pad on a squat bar. but to give them credit where it is due.
I think the trainers at my gym also have the Gold Star level of training certifications that include, but not limited to - proper stance while performing a smith machine squat, feeling the mind muscle connection on a drop set of one arm concentration cable curls and last but not least- all of the Weider principles.
