Westside One Mistake at a Time

Beating people with a club sounds therapeutic. Great that your deadlift is on the way back to where it was.

I did my day 3 one day early due to the upcoming hurricane and I was freaking destroyed by the end of it. I might be getting too old for this.

You had a pretty big deadlifting day yesterday.
Nice job blasting the upper body. Those DB Presses after all that work is impressive.

Fighting bruise

Is that a mace mark? What the heck did they hit you with to make stripes like that?

That is one hit from an inch and a quarter circumfrence piece of rattan. The stripping happens as the force difuses out from the main point of contact.

With bruises like that the threesome must have gotten real rough.

Joe, I didn’t see the bruises at first, only the triceps :)…but I hope the guy that caused that bruise has one equally as good (or worse  )

Training looks good, but build in some deloads, remember it’s not a race.

Oh yeah, I’ve got a one coming up in about 8 weeks but its a long one. Going on vacation in the Smokies.

Really? are you stopping by this time?

Do you do escrima fighting or another combat sport.

Beard! Do you have a beard? Does it help you lift more weight?

This was not the picture I had in mind when i said I hope we get to see a pic of all this hard work…

I sort of have a beard. I’m a redhead and my wife loves red hair so since I shave my head I started keeping scruff for her. I’ll never have a full beard, way too much Native American ancestory for that.

Sadly it does not help with the weight.

There will be more I just had it on hand because a friend who was there when it happened wanted to see the bruise after it purpled.

Since its our anniversary trip it would probably not be my wisest move, I have been talking to Ronda about a good time to try and hook up with you.

Its a Medieval combat sport where you essentially beat your opponent until they acknowledge it. In this picture I’m the guy in the middle of the field with yellow shield. I just finished off the guy on the ground and I’m going to help my buddy in green on the left.

Medievel war games? Joe, you are the MAN!! That looks freaky insane!

I know the feeling
