Westside One Mistake at a Time

I’m Joe, I’m a 45 year old who dabbles in powerlifting. I’ve been around a while and those who know me know I’m vain, sarcastic, and I eat to much.

I do a highly modified 5/3/1 routine that would make Wendler puke in disgust at my changes. I’m about to start carb backloading in a week or two, remember that vain part?

I call First.

Keep us posted on how the CBL works for you, I know I’m curious as hell.

following…

Thirded.

I’ll see your “old and busted” and raise with a “creaky and bitter.”

You can do it man (get stronger, in better shape etc) and you know it.

Sounds like you’re a vet so you know the drill - train hard, rest well eat well.

Do it.

I emphasize with you as I used to be fit but then had 2 years of insomnia and became a ghst of my former self. I self medicated with booze nightly for 2 years and became a fatigued zombie most of the time. I am lucky to not have the alcy gene, so never got tolerance build up.

Am not as old as you but am 36. Am sleeping now due to medical intervention and have begun working out and am feeling great.

If I can come back from that mess, you can come back from whatever your’s was.

Just need the will and the right circumstances.

G.F.I man. Go for it!

lemme know how you like the cbl. I am tinkering with it, it really has to be percise to your goals, metabolism, and tolerance to carbs I am finding. but so far happy with it

I am pretty carb sensitive so I don’t think I’m going to be able to really push them post lifting liek some do. So I’m going to start out lowish and up them until I hopefully hit an equilibrium point.

You’re vain, sarcastic, and eat too much. I’m self centered, a smart ass, and am getting fat, so I’ll be checking in!

hey Joe, how’s the back doing now? CBL seems all the rage nowadays. Good luck with it.

Tt is getting better pulled 355 with no pain today after doing rep work. Still a hundred pounds off but I’m getting there.
