Thanks brother. Chicks dig chains (or so I hear) so I’m going to keep using them.

Jeez, it’s been so long since i was at a decent commercial gym. The Sackville Sports Stadium always had a box with chalk in the weight room so that was a good sign. Heavy DBs up to around 200 if I recall. Couple squat racks. Haven’t been there in 2 years though.

it’s been a while, but Fitness FX on Quinpool used to be (might still be) owned by a huge juice monkey. nice guy though. If he is still there I’m sure you could drop stuff without getting into trouble.

Of course, we have the usual Goodlife gyms.

Things are pretty good here. Wife is heating things up lately, kids are doing great in school, job is not bad, family is healthy.

I have been looking for really thick chain for a while but haven’t had any luck.

I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and buy heavier chain from an industrial place close to where I work.

In case anyone is interested:
1/2" is 2.4lb/ft and about $6/ft taxes in. A 5’ length would be 12lbs.
5/8" is 3.6lb/ft and about $10/ft taxes in. A 5’ length would be 18 lbs.

yeah, I was working in with my boy. He was using a lighter (40lb) bar that I have. I just tossed some plates on and repped out.
