515 x 0…would have been a 20lb increase over last time. Got it to knees. Got greedy.
515 x 0…blah
505 x 0…done at this point.
I watched the vid and it looks like I’m too tentative at the start. And I might be over the bar too much and pulling straight up.
Reverse band speed deads
405 x 3,3,3,3,3,3
Done. Out of time. My natural tendency is to want to try and lift this weight next week. But the smart thing is to do heavy GMs since I need more low back / ham strength so I’m going to do that.

That is really wonderful! You are a lucky man.
Solid training in here. Can’t fault you for your work ethic.

Nice work Git, recently started the CGBP myself, like it alot, feels good on the shoulders…did you read Tates last article and his Westside Program? I love it, going with it full speed ahead.

Hey Big Daddy Matty. The CGBP felt great and I’m going to keep them in for sure. And I did read the article; I notice we both did dead stop rows and shrugs yesterday (high five).

Wait a second, is this meet being discussed, is that OUR future meet? Or is there another Nova Scotia meet coming up that I don’t know about?
Yeah, it’s your fault mentioning your meet. You say ‘meet’ around here and everyone gets excited. I might come and watch. When is it?
you know what else gets me excited? That pushups with chain vid. Damn!! Thank you for indulging, and thank me for asking.
Congrats on the T-Bar PR
@Joe - now you need to figure out how to get me a dips with chains vid

I have been looking for a way to get really thick chains forever butI cna’t find them around here.

The man love in hee is getting a little thick.
You guys start talking about football or its gonna get ugly.
I’m doing manpon presses as a 2 board substitute but the damn things still feel odd to me.
I’ve done the manpon thing (sounds weird…uh, FOOTBALL!) and they definitely feel different than touching the bar on 2x4s jammed under my sweatshirt. Both work, I’m sure.

I’d love to be able to use real boards but right now I’m already skirting the edge with being to “hardcore” for my gym. I’m looking around for better gyms on the weekend but this place is like a blackhole for PLing.
Way to muscle through “the dark times,” as Broz says. Just the inspiration I need to wake up and get my DE upper day done in the AM. Have you tried front squat holds for abs?

I haven’t done any front squat holds…great reminder.
I’m doing DE Upper tomorrow as well. What do you have on the menu for the session?
I’m thinking about starting out with some power cleans and work up to some heavy(ish) singles. For me that is. Then to bench. It really depends on what is open, commercial gym and all. I do heavy triceps on DE days, so it’s either JM’s or CGBP and I’ll finish with t-bars. Maybe some curls for the girls if I’m feeling frisky.
