Is anyone here doing the program with 4 different lifts, but only 3 days a week? (meaning you end up doing different lifts different days of different weeks). This is the way I read it in the book and it seems everyone here is doing it 4 days a week.
This is what I’m doing, 3 days of lifting & 3 days of conditioning a week is just the right amount for me. On paper the program looks much easier than it is.
Your maxes seem to have dropped?(Especially for BP)

They sure did. I started having left shoulder pain during the fourth cycle.
And here is my big excuse for the day - I’ve been focusing on getting healthier (lose fat), so I have been doing a lot of cardio since the second cycle.
But yeah, my strength has dropped. I have hit better ‘max’ numbers on other days for all the lifts, but I chose to only post the third wave results.
Taking it easy on squats and deadlift because i´m just getting back to powerlifting after problems with my lower back.
After the first 3 weeks i just can´t wait to get into the next wave.
My weight has dropped about 15 lbs since i started with 5/3/1.
I bought Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 manual 4 weeks ago and it´s a great book that everyone who is in powerlifting/strength training should buy. Highly recommended!
I ran my first 2 cycles back to back without a deload and it didn’t cause and fatigue or strength loss. But as recommended, take the deload and as Wendler says, look at progress in years vs weeks.

hahaha. I cant lie. jim will tell you this is true as well. I am a total internet forum whore. Ive stopped posting at quite a few, because it always seems that some 16 year old e-tard wants to argue with me about why his squat form sucks, and how do I know what Im talking about , because he read it in a rippetoe book.

Jason,
you must give this program a big thumbs up if you are running another 5/3/1 cycle.
Thoughts on the program?
Im a huge fan of the program. I feel a million times better, physically, than I did doing a conjugate type periodization. I still get sore, but I don’t have ANY achy joints, except for my garbage elbow. I dont have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, either.
The best part is that I am still doing what I want to by getting stronger, but all of the rep work versus singles and doubles all of the time has left me with way better level of conditioning. I m fully expecting to be in good enough shape to give a 3rd attempt deadlift a real try. I havent been able to do this in my last two meets, doing to being a fat sack. I recommend it to everyone who asks. Not because jim and I are friends, but the damn program WORKS.
