Weird, but impressive

Cheese?

That too, I want some serious melty cheese. And since you’re in Europe now, I expect it to be real cheese, not that radioactive orange crap maccy dees peddles.

The red shit is a piece of tomato, obviously, one of three. And of course there was cheese, you can sorta see it hanging down the left side under that flap of lettuce.

It has to be said, however…whatever that stuff McDs puts in their burgers is not cheddar cheese. Real cheddar cheese is fucking glorious, and I won’t hear a negative comment about it. But so are many other kinds of cheese. I absolutely love cheese, OMG. I eat it as a snack basically every day. In DK they have the best, strong, smelly cheese, so good.

Yes, it is pretty fucking grand. This coming from a redneck that was practically raised on Velveeta and SPAM.

Very jealous you have good stuff that’s so accessible to you. Our best chance for good cheese here is Aldi (which has some really good stuff once in awhile, but it’s like playing Russian roulette) or a European import store. The Euro Mart is good, but tends to be very expensive and the cheese isn’t always in its best condition by the time we get hold of it.

Absolutely no arguments from me there. Real strong cheddar is God’s gift to the world. Or at least those parts of it not concerned with abs.

Shit Yank ā€œcheeseā€ is the best cheese for a burger. I will die on this hill.

Do you use ultra soft polystyrene buns as well?

Nice looking burger. I just ate one that looked very similar while sitting in my patrol car. I managed to get 10 similarly sized patties and one skinny patty out of my four pounds of ground beef so mine are usually between 0.4 - 0.45 lbs each. And they’re delicious.

Brioche buns, shit American cheese, a patty made of nothing but 15-20% beef. Only acceptable core ingredients for a homemade burger.

I feel like a half pound, while possibly a bit excessive, is just about perfect for a burger. Size matters when it comes to meat, guys. Kinda hard to judge the grilling time when it is that huge, probably gave it a minute longer than it needed…

Brioche buns are good. I’m also a fan of a nice crusty roll, but I’m aware it’s a controversial opinion.

Good effort. That green shit ruins it though.

Cheese has to be the most processed American stuff available.

I guess I understand why some people don’t really care for lettuce, but its main purpose here and in most other cases is for texture. I like it either way.

As fortune would have it, Lidl has a rare shipment and sale on blocks of cheddar, so I picked up three 1kg blocks today. Score. Usually I am forced to buy small slabs of overpriced cheddar, so I tend to skip it.

U reminded that I should get a triple cheeseburger for McD soon.

If you ever in Canberra Ima take you to Burger Hero. Best I’ve ever had: four parties, American cheese, onion, pickles on a brioche bun.

Sounds very ā€˜merica. I love it

I have yet to have a better burger

Shit, I am all hungry for a burger again. So I am probably going to do the same thing tonight. Might do a MarkKO modified version:

Brioche Bun
Huge Ass Patty (salt and pepper only)
Cheddar Cheese
Tomato
Ketchup
Maybe pickle, but probably not this time.

I totally forgot to buy onions at the store, or that would be on there too.

I mean, sure, if you want.
