Weird, but impressive

What’s happening in here? I look away for a few weeks and suddenly you’re pressing 2 plates?

I consider this to be very high praise coming from you, so thanks for that. I will have to work on repping stuff in the 90s first and see what happens.

It’s BECAUSE you are looking away, mate. I do everything just to spite you.

I assumed as much. In many ways, I should take credit for that 2 plate Press.

You really should, consider it a shared PR.

I legit struggle with the logs in KG here because it’s just numbers, but 100kg will always stand out and be wow-worthy.

For some reason, I take it for granted that the experienced lifters around here can auto-convert kilos to pounds, which is a pretty dumb assumption honestly. I should do like @simo74 and convert some of the topsets as a public service.

I can do the quick math, but I really just look for milestone. I’m actually the same with pounds. I see 405 and I pay attention. I see 415 or 395? I glaze over.

That’s actually kinda funny, because a four plate whatever converts closer to 395 in when the plates are in kilo (like 396 or something)…so I focus on that and ignore the other numbers.

Freedom units or nothing!

I now will refer to weights in units of eagles. Eagles are equivalent to pounds in weight but inherently more badass.

I mean your press PR is only like 16 stone - no big deal…

FR though, great work.

These units always made me laugh.
Do people really say they weigh “14.7628 stone” do they super round up? Or down? Or what.

I would always round up.
When I watched a lot of rugby they usually listed player weights in the closest half stone.

Love to pop in here and see a giant press like that. Awesome work, dude.

I swear to god that if I go full evil, this will be part of my origin story.

No rounding needed you just say how many stone and the lbs. Of you weight 200 lb you would say I am 14stone 4.

I weigh in stone, then convert to lbs for my log, because only about 3 people would have a clue what I meant otherwise, for the weights lifted I leave them in kg because that’s just legit and lbs are stupid (apart from for weighing bodyweight then they are legit and kg are stupid).

@Cyrrex congrats on the amazing work in here and recent prs you are indeed smashing lifting despite being advance in years and weight, I applaud you sir!

Basic pulling day today, nothing fancy. Threw in some db rows to remind myself that I can probably continue to ignore them.
