Weird, but impressive

I am not a physio do probably don’t listen to me but I sounds like it could be a tight bicep tendon. The tendon from the top of the bicep connects at the shoulder. Can be managed with some massage and icing. Have you seen a physio ?

I haven’t. But its much worse now lol so I’m inclined to visit one. I’ll try some self massage too.

When I had mine I would Work on the bicep where it joins the shoulder and also where the pec joins the shoulder with you arm out to the side. Pretty sure if you dig around you will find where it is sore. After massage make sure you Ice it for 20 and repeat icing often through the day.

Ugh, gotta go after 60 today. Not sure I am either physically or mentally prepared for it. The minor issue on my right shoulder seems okay, but we will see. After this I will have one more squat session on this half cycle, and then will have to re-evaluate things once more.

What do you reckon @dagill2 after reading this I reckon he will smash it and make it look easy.

C2W3D1 - Press 531 BBB FSL WTF PDQ

The shoulder issue (rear delt, now that I can pinpoint it) only came into the picture when I started the FSL sets, and even then it was more an irritation than a hinderance. Pretty sure it is from incline benching, so will have to watch for it.

Only really figured to get 12 or 13 on the topset, as that is what the 1RM calc predicted…so I would have been happy with this, had not @dagill2 and @simo74 press-shamed me above. I will try to do better next time, sorry I let you guys down.

Oh, and pretty happy I managed all the FSL sets. I was fairly worried about that going into the session, this was all quite a jump in workload.

Just trying to get to 80 in the near term. I reckon I should just about be there, might have to focus on going heavy for a while.

15 reps at 60 kg should absolutely equate to 80 kg.

15 is still very good. I am pretty sure I could not press 60 overhead 15 times right now.

Only two days past since I did the heavy bonus squats, but I was feeling frisky. And also want to get this cycle done with. I will also admit I had this on my mind:

This was all very tough and very sweaty work. The FSL sets at this weight are just cruel and unusual punishment. I mean, it was 80 last week FFS! Bad enough having to add 5 to the topset, adding 10 to the last 5 is just mean.

Anywho, done. Have to reflect a bit now and figure out what’s next.

Yep, mom/wife/family jokes are no-go because people have used the “just joking” defense to rationalize comments that’d get them KO’d in real life. So, it’s a standing policy now.

Fair enough. Dagill knows me well enough to know I mean no actual harm, but having a policy like that is probably for the best.
