howdy peoples…just wondering how much you use in the lateral raises exercise and whether or not you alternate arms or do them both at the same time. thanks
Usually 25-45 lbs, obviously depends on reps. I also like power lateral raises (elbows bent) and leaning lateral raises so you can use more weight.
I almost always do them at the same time, except for leaning of course.
I use both versions. You should thoroughly warm up when using heavier weights(6reps etc) so that you feel the tension in the right muscle and not let the back and traps take over.

Heavy lateral raises are absolute crap for me, but I have overactive, overdeveloped upper traps. If you’re anything like me I’d say go just light enough that you don’t cheat with your traps, because that pretty much makes the exercise pointless.
