I just purchased a new Body Champ weight bench, and the bench limit for incline is 110lbs…seems kinda low for a bench limit. I weigh 180lbs and incline bench 155lbs. Should i take the bench back, or should i risk it and lift?
Get a better bench. I recently upgraded parts of my home gym and bought an Ironmaster bench (http://www.ironmaster.com). I purchased it as part of a package (including the adjustable dumbbells and attachments for the bench - dip bar, leg ext/leg curl, preacher bench, decline/ab attachment).
I love the bench because it’s sturdy and quickly and easily adjusts from flat to decline to incline. It handles 600lbs in the incline and 1,000 pounds in the flat position. It’s a great price too (~$235).
The only negative is that the bench is higher (20") than many benches. If you’re of average height or taller, that’s probably not an issue. For me, it means I have to put my feet on the bench supports, or on weight plates.
thats a joke… buy a new bench
