Philosophically speaking, can “Renaissance Man” be a stereotype?

In hindsight, I wish I would’ve taken some philosophy courses in college. Always thought it was strictly for geeky nerds with all brains and no brawn. My wrongness of being knows no bounds.

Elbows out nose breaker? Is that like a skullcrusher?

Im not so sure alexis texas is the prescribed WOD

unless its a glute day.

I like how you big dogs do tricep shit with what I use to kroc row.
awesome.

nose breaker is a skull crusher, only lowered to nose, not forehead.

Kevin, I am creating my own line of xfit workouts…

Flank steak is a staple in our house. Sundays grill up a few lbs usually, do it Argentian style, marinated for a day or so in olive oil, kosher salt, oregano, and a few other things if we have them on hand. On the side grill pablano peppers, melt some skim queso cheese in there, server steak sliced thin on low carb tortillas, have left overs for snacks, omelettes, etc.

My wife has busted her ass since the last baby, she is in the gym doing something every day, is she isn’t lifting its some cardio or yoga. At 40 she is rocking it:)

So how was the show!!??

Matty, show was great… of course had to ditch out a little early becuase of the baby sitter. All ages show, doors opened at 7, Madball didn’t go on until 10. But damn they sounded good, Freddy still has so much energy after all these years, he is amazing. Also pretty psyched, got a text from Freddy’s big brother yesterday, Agnostic Front is gonna be back here in November.

Thats great to hear…how was the crowd? I dont remember the last time I was at an all ages show

The crowd wasn’t too bad, most of the younger dudes have respect. Still don’t understand the stupid arm swinging pseudo kung fu crap kids are doing in the pit now. And there were a lot of our generation there, tattooed knuckledragging knuckleheads. It was one of my boys birthday as well, life long straight edge buddy so bought him a grape soda, lol.

hearing the words agnostic front and straigt edge in a few posts is good times

hah, my favorite was a few years back hanging with Roger and Vinnie from AF and them talking about how they used to claim to be ‘No Edge’…

WOD

The Jayden James

Warm ups then
DE box squat
415 + 120 in chains 8 x 2

GHR 4 x 10

Rev Hyper 4 x 10 w/225

Band GMs 4 x 12 w/strong band

hang abs 4 x 12

db shrugs 130s x 32

prowler 90lb x 40yrd x 8

So I’m starting to do reverse hypers myself. I’m assuming you have some kind of plate-loaded machine? I have to rig up some kind of band system.

yes, we have the machine, actually both private and public pl gyms have one. I really have come to drink the kool aid and believe they help prevent low back issues.

Truly, I’m doing these to save the back should the transition to sumo not work for me. I just can’t imagine ever being able to pull sumo as much as I can conventionally. With sumo, it’s so form and balance dependent. With conventional, you just pick up the bar. How hard can that be?
