We Make Holes in Teeth

Snapper, a few weeks ago for shits and giggles my one training partner, female m3, did a raw rep out 135 x 18 or something like that, calculated to 87% of bodyweight. the next week another training partner, male age 28, came in and ‘broke’ the record with 230 x 21. I smashed that record as a ‘favor’. Also high reps can build strength/size that improves lower rep effort.

Reread my post on the PVC. for a 275lber I arch A LOT. I developed that doing all my DE work over PVC pipe.

Insomnia sucks, big time. last night was a pretty good nights sleep, after a) not sleeping the night before b) 8 hour work day, c) job interview d) 2 hour deadlift and prowler session and e) chasing kids around until 10 p.m.

i hate job interviews, mostly because I never get any.

Training is looking great. still think you should turn your basement into a pool, just recover the stairs in tile

conditioning stuff

commercial gym across from work just got a prowler, yay

sled drag, backwards 70lb x 40yrd x 2

stepper 10 minutes intervals, hrt rt 154

elliptical 25 minutes hrt rt 140

decline sits bwt x 20, 85lb x 12

cable abs 3 x some

reverse crunch 3 x 12

true. ipod is the only thing that allows me to stay on it at gym, news/tv at home.

Upper stuff

Bench 9 x 3 w/185 + dbl minis, 3 grips
pulldowns 10 x 10

rev grip bench 225/295/345 x 6, still some in tank, getting used to these again

75 degree dbell incline 3 x 10 w/110s

dips 4 x 20
hammer curls 4 x 8 w/80s

laterals 4 x 8
bradford press 4 x 8

face pulls 4 x 12

rope down/extension 3 x 12 each

does the rev grip bench have much of a carryover to the regular, or is it just to make your triceps swole?

stronger tris = bigger bench, 99.9% of the time.

and bigger tris make the extra medium shirts fit better

154 is a great hear rate to work at for a bigger dude.

all part of being a fit, jacked, fat dude…

Squattin’

or by the state of my back hair, Sasquattin’

felt like shit from the time I got up today, lousy sleeping through most of the week+, due to multiple stressors which are really a) taking their toll on my focus and b) fucking stupid. for the last 25 years or so lifting has always been my way to get away from shit, usually it works but tonight they intruded. that being said tonight was a PR because I got close to what I wanted done, cuz in the state I am that is somewhat remarkable

box squats bar x 10, 145 x 10, add average band 145 x 5, 235 + avg band x 3, add granny panties 325 x 2, 415 x 2 x 2, 465 x 5 x 2. mind and body was not into it at all, but pushed myself through.

free squats, changed into slightly smaller but now looser inzer briefs: 505 x 1, 595 x 1

added out of the bag brand new Metal Ace Pro, straps down 685 x 1. Not sure how far I moved, but it was a first feel for the suit. Shut it down there, next week will be a whole lotta free squatting in the suit to break it in and determine modifications needed.

finished with

ghr 4 x 10
hanging abs 4 x 10

rev hyper 4 x 10 w/225

will get prowler work in tomorrow

I was just going to ask what you got. I think we need some videos. Was the first attempt anything more than a slight knee bend?

I hope things settle down for you soon.

lol, probably not much more, I think I will need a couple more plates to get close to depth. I will start posting vid’s of the progress. was going to tonight but just felt too fucktarded to bother…

Hey pete i would like to see a video of you breaking in the ace suit. That would be cool to see.

If it wouldn’t be too much of a chore, could you tell me a little about your experience with the metal squat suits, if possible in particular the metal pro squatter. Maybe a few recommendations if possible.

I hope all the stressors with the family and basement and etc settle down soon as well.

Heracles,

I will see what I can do with vids over the next couple of weeks. Thursdays we are running a little light lately for crew, and if I only have 4 people there, that means 2 side spotter, back spotter, and mono runner, ergo no video. Hopefully it will flush out more, and I can start video whoring a little more.

The Pro Squatter is a good suit. It is much more forgiving than the Ace, so can adjust to different stances better. If you are just getting into gearwhoring you squat it is a good one to get. I just sold one last night as a matter of fact.

Great training as always. I can sympathize with the insomnia. Many nights I see 2-3 am and a couple times a year I won’t sleep at all. Training after work and drinking coffee too late ruins any thoughts of a good nights sleep for me.

Thanks Pete, and i understand on the lack of a crew.

Conditioning/cardio/cardiac crap

discovered pushing a prowler is harder on astroturf than in parking lot

prowler 90lb x 40 yrd x 3
140lb x 40 yrd x 3
90lb x 40 yrd x 2

treadmill, 40/20 intervals, 10 minutes, hrt rt to 152

elliptical 20 minutes hrt rt avg 140

then did some curls, machine abs, wrist curls, calves, reps/sets not really important
