Im doing Madcow’s 5x5 program, and for its accessory lift on monday it says to do hypers. I don’t have a reverse-hyper machine, and I have heard people say substituting RDL’s is bad because of all the pressure already put on the spine from the main lifts. So is there a way to do reverse-hypers without a machine? Or is it safe to do RDL’s instead?
GHR bench or Roman Chair/Hyperextension bench.
Im not an excercise philanderer or anything fancy like that but I am pretty sure hyperextensions means you lower and raise your torso, and your legs are stationary, not the other way around, so if you have access to a hyperextions thing or a GHR bench and that should work. Maybe give Light good mornings a try or something if you dont have access to any of that fancy equipment. I dunno.
