Waxy Maize With Other Meals?

hey guys i just got some waxy maize in (glyco-maize by ON) and i usually take it one scoop (35 grams carbohydrate) preworkout with protein and two scoops post workout along wit creatine, glutamine n so forth… but ive noticed that i feel my food digesting quicker when i take it so does anyone suggest takin it maybe every other meal to absorb my protein n nutrients better or what?

Waxy maize it is now becoming a fast redundant “fad” thing.
If you mix ANYTHING with it besides bcaa’s or creatine, it loses its ability to spike insulin so your basically consuming it to er consume it with your p/w shake…

BUT if you wish to continue using it here is how it works.Amino-based nutrients should be kept to a minimum during ingestion of a waxy maize carbohydrate drink. My post workout recommendation for a 200 lb bodybuilder would be 75g of a waxy maize mixed with 5g creatine, 8g L-leucine, and 5-10g of BCAA’s. This meal should be followed, approximately 15-30 minutes later, with a meal containing protein and complex carbohydrates; preferably a fast-digesting liquid protein such as a whey isolate, and some complex carbohydrates.

I’ve considered waxy maize, but you got to ask yourself, is hydro-whey really not fast enough for you or what?

And possible interactions with BCAA’s is definitely a no-no for me, since I’m consuming about 25g worth after a workout.

I sometimes will take 40gm WMS, 10gm BCAA, and 5gm Creatine upon waking while getting my food for the day together and cooking my breakfast. This is same as what I take pre workout and I basically double this post workout. 20-30 minutes I after I consume the WMS mix PWO I have a whey iso shake and a few minutes after that I have oats and berries. I have found the WMS mix followed by the Whey Iso and oats to be the ideal PWO meal for me.

Have you tried it? You are right it is not designed to be taken mixed with much moe than BCAA and creatine. 80gm WMS, 15gm BCAA, and 5gm creatine followed 20-30 minutes with 40-60gm of Whey iso and starchy carbs is the perfect PWO meal (at least for me and the other bodybuilders I know). I believe this is even better than Surge, and I have drank my fair share of Surge. You won’t hear much on here by the writers on WMS simply because Biotest does not sell it. Biotest Surge is a fantastic PWO drink, but it is not the only option available.

It would be extremely easy to put together a WM product in under 2 weeks if we thought it were worthwhile.

We haven’t done so since it’s application is so limited.

yeah sure. It is very simple and cheap supplement that works. I guess it is not as exotic as the mysterious Surge Workout Fuel that is getting hyped to death. I am patiently waiting for that to come out. I probably won’t be able to afford it though.

Now thats some free speach.

OP, this website isn’t gonna have alot of reviews on high molecular weight carbs, but if you look around the web you can find your answer.

I’ll say HMW carbs are very interesting, and I have used Surge and currently have 2 1/2 bottles. But it is not the only option as was mentioned.

Some people like HMW carbs for their digestive tracts, many report less bloating and crash than a malto/dextro drink.

Which is better? Hard to say, just make sure your getting something in.
