It would be more helpful to others reading if you finished it the way it is supposed to be. But you have to do what’s right for you.
Either way, hopefully you’ll continue to contribute to this thread.

I asked this earlier in the thread, but what are anyone’s thoughts about using Alpha Male during the 3 week gaining phases.
Does anyone think it is worth trying?
Chad, could you weigh in on this if you see the post?

It wouldn’t hurt to try, especially if you can afford it - though technically I would possibly expect better results than originally laid out in the plan.
Personally I’d be more interested in using some of the MAG-10 I have left in the higer-frequency bulk phase. ![]()
This is my first post on T-Nation so be gentle. What are your plans after the 10/10 program?
Do it again exactly as written
Change diet / Keep weight training
Keep diet / Change weight training
Change both
What are your plans if you are making changes? Maybe Chad could chime in and give his recommendations on what to do after the program.
Thanks.

I found Norweigen Cod Fish oil by Twin Labs. It is half the price of Carlson’s. Is the quality half as good also?[/quote]
Twinlab’s “Norwegian Cod Liver Oil” contains 554mg EPA and 369mg DHA per teaspoon. Carlson’s “Very Finest Fish Oil” contains 800mg EPA and 500mg DHA per teaspoon. So Twinlab’s is lower quality. Here are the links where I found that info:

I am doing this program also. I started last Monday. I was wondering how are you guys doing the woodchops? Are you standing and using a dumbbell or using the cable station. Is one way better than the other?

I’m not sure if one way is necessarily better than the other, but I’ve been using the cable station. I feel like it gives more resistance.
Good luck with the program.
Just wanted to give an update as Phase 1 is now complete.
12/4/07
Wt: 154.4
Waist: 35 "
BF: 18.1%
12/29/-7
Wt: 148.6 (-5.8)
Waist: 33.5 (-1.5")
BF: 17.1% (-1%)
So far, I am really happy with the results, although it would have been nice to lose more body fat than it appears I did. As others have mentioned, the weight is probably not all fat, I’m sure there is some water and glycogen loses that can account for part of it. Either way, I am really jazzed up to move on to Phase II now and see what changes that brings. I have a full bottle of AM that contains 37, 2 tab servings…just enough for the 18 day phase II HFT cycle. Will report back with more measurements in 3 weeks.

based on your total weight lost, if you lost 1.5" on your waist I would estimate you dropped 7 to 8 lbs of fat and put on 2 to 3 lbs of muscle. Quick calculation would be approx 4% drop on the body fat.
Good results
Hey guys pleas help me with this as i got no response from Waterbury’s locker.
Basically i’ll be starting this program next week and i was wondering if i can continue to play indoor soccer twice a week. It lasts for an hour and is really high intensity but i’ll take a extra Surge to compensate.
Can i continue playing? Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Thanks

The extra energy expenditure won’t hurt - especially in the fat loss phases. Depending on your body type, in the bulking phases I would be inclined to add more food on your soccer days.
A few updates since my last post…
For DF85 - the one pound total drop at the end of Phase II was from my initial starting weight; essentially, I gained back about 4 lbs during phase II.
For PharmD - I think Alpha Male could only benefit you during this. I have a bottle myself that I am considering using when I start Phase IV. I am thinking that it may give me an edge when I go back to HFT.
For ectoman - I’m not fully certain of what my plan is at the end. As 10/10 is designed to transform your physique without adding weight, and my ultimate goal is to add another 15-20 solid lbs, I am seriously considering following the ‘smart-bulk’ diet parameters of carb-cycling as outlined in a recent article here (I think it was a Roussell one). I want the muscle and size, but I am selfish and do not want to blubber-up to get there. I very much prefer the lean-look.
Now, for myself - the Christmas week really f**ked me. My gym went on ‘unannounced’ early closures that kept me from starting Phase III by a full week. Tried to keep the diet ‘fairly’ true to what the plan calls for, but I had more than my fair share of lapses. Have hit all my workouts this week (Day 5, Ph III tonight) and still feel good in the gym. Also added CLA to my morning meal 2 weeks ago (3g). It’s going to be crazy for the remainder as I’m living out of 2 packed boxes currently as my house is sold this week and I’ll be living on the in-law’s couch for TWO MONTHS. They eat like shit too (actually, they eat very well if you like comfort-food, but it’s not the type of physique transformation I’m working on!).
One note on those coming up to Phase III - be prepared for some new soreness in the core following all the uni-lateral training…Chad wasn’t kidding.
Cheers to all for contributing!
I purchased the book this morning and have read through it today and then found this thread tonight. I was working out pretty seriously this past summer and leaned up pretty good. However, I got pretty lazy the past couple of months and added quite a bit of body fat and weight back. I haven’t really lifted to much the past couple of weeks.
So I am planning on using next week to get back into the swing of things, easing into the diet, and getting an idea on what weights to use for the lifts. Then I will be officially starting this program the 14th. I will continue to keep and eye on this thread and will post my progress as well once I get going.
Those of you that have done phase two, how are you progressing each week. Are you just trying to up the weight each time you repeat a workout or trying to get in an extra rep or two?
BTW after two weeks on Phase one I am down right at 4 pounds and 1 inch off my waist.
What kind of cheese is Waterbury referring to? Because standard english mild cheddar cheese has 21grams of saturated fat per 100 grams. Thats quite bad isn’t it?

I’m using Havarti cheese(from Tesco) - it’s got 6.5g of fat per slice.

Cool thanks for that.

I have mixed it up a little and have used mild cheddar, marble, mozzarella, swiss and havarti. My grocer has lighter versions of these cheeses (though at the portion size in Phase II, I wouldn’t call it ‘light’ exactly) to help limit the overall sat fat.
I started the 10/10 program today and I found out just how fat I had gotten in the past 3 months. I will never use bulk phase as an excuse to eat crap food again.
Here are my starting stats:
Height: 5’10"
Weight: 184.5
Body Fat: 22%(Taylor body analysis scale)
Waist: 40"
Hips: 37"
Did the first weight training day this AM and it is pretty tough. It was fun though.
The diet is a lot different than what I have been doing. I am definately cutting down on calorie intake so I am confident I will lose weight. I will keep y’all updated with my progress and good luck to all that are on the program.
