I had problems eating cottage cheese. When I ate it it’d cause my sinuses to flare up and I’d be sneezing, etc. However, I found that if I washed the cottage cheese in water and just ate the curds I was fine. Having said that, I think I’m allergic to whey. Is that the problem?
Can you buy just the curds of cottage cheese? The market I go to just sells the regular kind. Also, what am I missing by not eating the wet part. I imagine most of the protein is in the curds.
I heard of Pressed Cottage Cheese. I think it’s just like the regular stuff, with the liquid pressed out. So, you’re just left with the curds. Anyone try it before?
I went out and bought some pressed cottage cheese. Ate 1/2 cup, which gives you 24 grams of protein and it didn’t bother me a bit! Woohoo! I can eat cottage cheese now!
I recommend you try it out. I put it on a bagel and it was pretty decent. If you’re not a fan of the wet cottage cheese, this might be what you’re looking for.
ive looked for this dry cottage cheese for years after i once saw a pizza recipe that used it. i’ve never seen it in the grocery store and whenever i ask someone, they have no idea what i’m talking about

How you guys even choke that shit down is beyond me. Makes me want to puke immediately… which sucks because it’s got so much protein.[/quote]
Pressed dry cottage cheese is more palatable to me than the wet version. Try it with berries…it’s really good!
