I’d like to hear from anyone who’s had success with the warrior diet, what types of results did you obtain, and how long did it take to see these results. One thing i’m unclear about is what to do on non-training days, Ori didn’t seem to cover that in the interviews. Do you still eat a large meal in the evening on these days or just eat a few small protein meals. I feel the best results with come from high protein, moderate fat, low carb meals in the evening, I don’t want to fill glycogen levels too much b/c I feel i’m be burning them off the next day rather than bodyfat. I plan on lifting between 4-8 pm and after that eating 1 or 2 large meals, primarily of steak/fish oil/and maybe some vegetables.
Judging from the feedback we get here at T-mag, I’d say the Warrior Diet has been the least successful plan we’ve ever written about. (Actually, we didn’t write it; the diet was presented in an interview.) Interesting? Yes. Efficacious? Not for most people, although there are always exceptions.
If you choose to use the diet, I suggest you use Tim Patterson’s take on it presented here: Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION
