Warmup Before Dynamic Stretching?

Is it important to do a jog or walk for 3-5 min to get core temp up then do dynamic stretching (the ones outlined in the MM dvd), or just go into the dynamic stretches?

Thanks,

Aaron

Could’ve sworn they went over that right at the beginning of the DVD.

I would recommend maybe jogging two or three laps across a BKB court, followed by 2-3 side shuffles across and back and then maybe some light carioca just to get the blood flowing before going into the dynamic stretching.

I t ypically walk on an incline for 5 mins to get some bloodflow and a little warmth.

My whole warm-up process is nearly 30 mins it seems, since I take about 10-15 mins for dynamic stretching and putting on some blue heat and rehbands. Then another 10 mins for a series of movements.

Yes. Why would you wonder why it would be optimal to do “dynamic” movements “cold”?

Thanks guys for the responses. I just see plenty of olympic style warmups and they recommend jogging or walking for 5-10 minutes before doing dynamic stretching. Just wanted to see answers from both sides.
