Want to be 6'1 130, i'm 6'1 147 in this Video

You should’ve stuck with CrossFit forums. People at T-Nation don’t care about your feelings or personal goals if those goals are even slightly misguided. If you want advice here, be prepared to be shat on. An btw, CrossFit is not something that is well-received here; CF is seen as recklessly open-minded and overly gimmick-laden in its approach to fitness.

Also, your definition of helpful seems to be different from everyone elses here. You want advice on how to drop to 130…everyone else is trying to be helpful in telling you that your goal is poorly formulated and misguided.

My 2 cents: Gain weight. 6’1 at 130 is unhealthy. As for improving vert, simple squatting without muscle gain won’t get you anywhere. Vert jump is an explosive movement whereas half-squat are not nessesarily explosive.

Overall, I think you need to reevaluate your goals.

From what I saw of your vids I would not be talking shit. There’s no torque on your strikes and you looked winded. I would laugh at you if you threw one of those weak ass punches at me. For being so scrawny and pathetically weak, you should at least be quick.

Maybe you were just playing around and for your sake I hope you were. I did train mma (not ufc - again prolly trollin) and guys your size are lighting quick and strike much, much harder. My striking isn’t the best and I had to out athlete most guys I rolled with, but you would offer as much resistance as my girlfriend.

Unless you have to compete at the lightest division why are you trying to drop so much weight? There comes a point of diminishing returns where your athletic ability (or lack there of) will be negatively affected.

Nice e-fighting with you.

What have I said that’s dumb? ridiculous comment. I’m simply posting my journey on T-Nation, I’ve yet to say anything that is dumb.

What? The machete stuff is for my video project. The heavy bag video was for some people who requested it online. The dunk videos are to document my progress.

I have absolutely no ego.

bodybuilding? not so much. you can call what you’re doing bodysculpting, or toning, or something fruity like that, but it’s certainly not bodybuilding. i think it’s funny that you ask ‘who’s to say what i’m doing isn’t bodybuilding?’
a dictionary, dipshit.
Oh really?

“The process of developing the musculature of the body through specific types of diet and physical exercise, such as weightlifting, especially for competitive exhibition.”

Hmm, sounds similar to what I am doing… Developing the musculature, check. Strict diet, check. Physical Exercise, check. Weightlifting, check. Competitive exhibition, hmmm, check: videos and I plan to compete in fitness/physique competitions.

one last thing: any time you begin a post with, ‘not to brag, but i can do [fill in the blank]’… it means your bragging. don’t worry though. nobody’s impressed.
Well, apparently Strossen, Glassman, and Clay Edgin were impressed… But that’s not my goal here. I’m here to give the skinny athletes a voice, to prevent them from becoming too bulky and thus negatively impact their performance goals.

You look like you were on the Auschwitz basketball team

Hmm… How bout no. I enjoy crossfit forum, T-Nation forum, as well as many others.

That’s fine, i’m all for constructive criticism, but as far as i’ve seen, i’ve only seen insults and trash. I am one of the hardest working & most dedicated athletes on T-Nation, and I will be treated as such.

I don’t train crossfit style, though I respect their outlook on fitness, plus they have hot chicks, whenever I go to a crossfit event, I meet plenty of fine motivated females who are obsessed with performance/fitness just like myself. It is a great place to meet people who really strive to achieve impressive gains in conditioning and fitness.

I train differently from them in the way that, I squat heavy every other day, I sprint with full recovery, and most of my “Cardio” comes from walking, jump rope, or dunking. I also don’t do any upper body lifting or olympic lifts. Instead, I stick to bodyweight occasionally, though that is something I need to get more strict with, and try to avoid doing, since it helps maintain too much upperbody mass on my frame. I’m trying to lose nearly all upper body mass. Currently, my biceps are around 12 inches, i’d like sub-10 numbers in that department, absolutely no fat, striations, etc.

I am so confused by this statement… My goal is to hit 130, why would anyone tell me that my goal is misguided? That makes absolutely no sense… Consider this, using the greek calculator, I actually am bigger for my wrist sized, than the statues, in my thighs/hips and calfs… The muscle I have on my lower body rivals that of a man who is 6’1 190 at least. 24" thighs, 17" vmo, 15" calfs… at 152.

I would like to increase those numbers while getting my bodyweight down to 130.

6’1 130 is NOT unhealthy, I guarantee you that when I reach those body composition levels I will be of the utmost elite fitness. My endocrine profile will be extremely optimal. Vertical jump is explosive, sure, but half squatting builds that explosive strength needed to jump. Don’t lecture me on vertical jumping, it is a subject, that which you know nothing of, so please, refrain from interjecting your thoughts on that subject in my presence.

I disagree, wholeheartedly.

Nah. At 1:30, he found a White House Black Market dress that was just to die for.

As for commenting while knowing fuck all, squatting without gaining muscle can still lead to huge gains in athletic performance. Read some of Verkhoshansky’s stuff on the effects of heavy lifting regarding stim and supercompensation. How “explosive” the exercise looks has little to do with it’s carry over to VJ or sprinting.

Overall, I think you need to reevaluate spouting broscience.

On a serious note (why, I have no idea), this is unhealthy. Hopefully, it won’t become regrettably so.

are you kidding me? I posted that video on rossboxing, an actual boxing forum, and it got nothing but praise. I am very fast, my strikes are very powerful, I’ve had plenty of knockouts in hard sparring sessions, believe you me, that is not bullshit. I usually spar people 170+, as finding sparring partners under 150 is quite the task. So, my power holds true, being 147, fighting 170+ people.

Really? I’ve trained for years at American Top Team and AKA, also seminole warriors boxing gym and Punch Fitness. I’ve sparred with plenty of people you’ve seen on WEC and even some people from Pride (Denis Kang).

I’ve seen your pics in your T-Nation profile, you are pretty pale and soft looking. I am not one to judge your fighting ability from a picture, that would be ignorant, so I will not stoop to your mental midget level and act tough on an internet thread.

Well, I want 4xBW half squat strength for speed, and a 50" running vertical jump, 4.2x 40 yard dash, and sub 10 100m dash. The lighter I get, the more powerful and healthy I feel, i’ve been 142 before and I felt great. 130 is my goal now, as long as i maintain strength, I will become competitive on the elite level, when i hit 130.

Nice e-fighting with you.
No, nothing nice about it. In fact, it’s pretty annoying and insulting to my dedication to the various arts I participate in.

You are a great guy, using that comment against someone who is half jewish… very nice, very respectful.

Great post. Verkhoshansky is required reading material for ANYONE into strength & athletic performance.

.
hmmm… picture not uploading… i’ll get back to this.

I get weird looks at Victoria’s Secret when I walk into the dressing room with handfuls of women’s undergarments.

Also, when I browse the panty section, select a pair, then hold it to my nose, and inhale deeply. Actually, they usually ask me to leave when I do that.

Rinsed. Christ this thread is a trainwreck.

Guys, don’t feed the trolls. He’s just a really dedicated troll.

And if he’s not trying to troll us, then he’s trolling himself.

If you had really seen my profile then you would have been abel to read my philosophy, which has nothing to do with worshipping a group of people who turned out to be some of the nastiest, most brutal perpetrators of crimes against humanity that there has ever been, second only to the Nazis IMO.

So, confess, you haven’t seen my profile at all have you, which makes you a big fat liar.
Let this be a lesson to T-Nation, these are the retards i’m dealing with. No offense, but you’re a retard.

You have what looks like a little “kettle bell” tattoo under your left upper trap.

You have some kind of “bushido sword” tattoo on your left pec.

Your “tape” is uneven, on the back of your head.

You have a black lab (dog), and a blonde wig on.

You have another wig on, with huge fake ears, again, a feminine wig.

You are walking your black lab, shirtless, in a field of grain.

You have red sunglasses, a blue tote bag, and a girly bracelet on your right hand.

Your wife or girlfriend has blonde hair.

You are riding an elephant, while flexing your pecs.

You enjoy making sand sculptures while wearing raybans, and you enjoy drinking bottled water (zephyr hills).

Your black lab looks more like a pitbull.

I see your license plate number, JM…

But you’re right, i have not seen your pics, I simply used my psychic abilities given to me by HOT-ROX + grow + surge + anaconda stack.

If you have nothing else to say, then by all means, say it.
Also, your bagwork made me laugh.

Good bye.

BBB
Why did it make you laugh? Put up 6 round heavy bag footage, I guarantee my video will decimate yours into oblivion. Your upper body looks too tight to be able to throw any decent level of punches, I’m picturing chris leben on a heavy bag, my psychic abilities are rarely wrong.

Adios

BBB

That video was a bit disturbing. Also, all your dunks are a alley-oop to your self, can you dunk with out doing that? Also, I doubt there are any players in the NBA around 6’1" that way anywhere near 130lb, it doesnt make any sense, you would look on the verge of death.
